Failed after 5 years - turns itself on
We had this unit installed in 2015. Last year, the unit started to turn itself on. Clearly, this is a malfunction that can be dangerous. Working with KitchenAid a service company determined that i needed a part that cost $1200...a new unit is $1099. After going back and forth with KitchenAid they agreed to refund 50% of the original purchase price toward replacing it with a new unit. Decide for yourself if that is an experience you might want.

Lasted less than 5 years
The fan on this unit died in less than 5 years and KitchenAid refuses to do anything for me. No discount, credit, or any help. I'm stuck buying a brand new unit or having a repairman fix out of my own pocket. They do not stand by their product. DO NOT BUY!
