Description
This professionally inspired design wine cellar will allow you to store your wine bottles and other drinks adequately and to do so elegantly. The built-in wine cellar presents two temperature-controlled zones to chill both whites and reds at their optimal temperatures. The upper zone adjusts from 42 to 54 °F (5.5 to 12 °C) while the lower zone can be set from 42 to 64 °F. (5.5 to 17.77 °C). Its 46-bottle capacity opens the possibility of storing a wide selection and also to take advantage of interesting rebate offers on your favourite wine. The SatinGlide metal-front racks provide smooth movement even when the racks are fully loaded. A door alarm automatically alerts you when the door was left open before items inside rise above their ideal temperature. Sensors trigger the alarm if the refrigerator temperature rises above 45 °F (7 °C) for more than 4 hours. This versatile unit can be built-in to custom cabinets or freestanding in any room you choose.

Attractive, modern and gives us exactly what we wanted
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For our kitchen remodel, we wanted a dual zone wine cellar with independent temperature settings. We found this model to fit all of our requirements. The sleek look of the unit fit perfectly with our new kitchen design. This unit is one of very few on the market that provides independent temperature controls for the two zones. Most cellars have the second zone =/- a set number from the programmable first zone. The estimated capacity is stated as 46. Many reviews complain that this is not attainable. To be honest, this is an issue with ALL wine cellars. I carefully filled our cellar with a variety of wines. You need to be creative and patient, but I was able to store 45 bottles in this unit. I have to admit that a redesign to allow fractional additional space between the shelves would make this unit perfect.

Very Good - but not great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Larger bottles such as champagne do not fit.
Otherwise works fine for standard shape reds and whites.

Wine Cooler
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I installed a wine cooler in my Florida home and decided that I was missing out on not having one in my other home. It's great -- My husband pulled out a cabinet in my butler pantry and installed the cooler in less than two days. It's great.

Work for 90% of my needs.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This purchase was made to replace a previous under-counter Wine Chiller by KitchenAid. My previous Wine Chiller lasted 15 years so I was willing to take another chance on a KA Wine Chiller. PRO: 1) this unit is very attractive; 2) easy to control temperature; has new and improve features (users decide what temp they want their whites/reds, for example there are pre program temperature ranges - 42-54 degrees F for whites and 42-64 degrees F for reds, I can adjust my temp between those ranges, this feature is a big plus for me; 3) the unit is very quiet; 4) there is an 'auto light' feature, when this is enable, the inside light is activated with movement which is perfect when entertaining. 5) All of the shelves slide easily which wasn't the case with my previous unit. CON: 1) Periodically this unit gives out some sort of chemical scent, it is not overbearing: 2) Champagne and Pinot Noir bottles can only fit on the third shelf. The third shelf is within the top zone (whites, this limits me to keep my Pinot at the same temp as my whites (49 degrees, the recommended temp for Pinot is 54-60). I am limited when it comes to Pinot Noir.
