Do the depth specs of 24.75 inches take into consideration a mounted panel or are those measurements the dishwasher itself before the panel is installed?

Built-In Dishwasher with ProScrub - 24" - Tan is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 3697.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Strong Silent Type We purchased this dishwasher to replace an ailing, lower end model. I could not be happier with this Kitchenaid. It is so quiet, you cannot tell it is running, yet it cleans everything to sparkling perfection. I love the adjustable height of the middle rack and the top shelf is very handy for large serving spoons. One problem I had with my old dishwasher was etching on glassware. This new model has eliminated that. Every glass comes out spotless with no clouding. I have not yet used it on pots and pans, so I cannot attest to how it does with those items. A great product & MADE IN AMERICA! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from silence is wonderful!!! I do not use my dishwasher much--thus far only 3 times about once per week. I love how quiet it is and find it was easy to install for it was relatively painless transition from old to new. I do have difficulty getting use to the fact it takes longer to do a load of dishes almost 2 hrs if not using the heat drying part or express wash. I have waited till it is full to do a load for this reason. I have no other complaints or issues. I do like the fact if you want heat to dry dishes quick then Kitchenaid is your only choice to get all that you want. and have a top made dishwasher. Really like it. Rated 5 out of 5 by from As quiet as advertised. Paid extra and glad I did. This is something that will get used often and for years. Quality and quietness were the deciding factor. My old dishwasher was very noisy, this is unacceptable when company is here. I can not hear this running, truly amazing. There is a learning curve there are lots of options. I would have preferred black but with the correct stainless steel cleaner this is not a problem. The quality is obvious, I installed it myself. Steel tub instead of plastic, and the quality of everything is what I would expect when paying this much for a dishwasher. I would buy it again. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed - Don't make them like they used to Went from a lemon Bosch (dozens of repairs in 4 years) to this Kitchen Aid which so far has not failed, but has design issues. Pros - Very quiet, SS design looks great, love the sliding tracks that don't slip off, like the 3rd top silverware rack. Cons -- Top silverware rack designed poorly - it does not hold silverware in for cleaning and all tips over (which then catches soil) - almost unusable! Biggest con is that it doesn't clean well. Dishes in bottom get clean, but second rack doesn't clean well and top silverware rack still has food and soil all over it - basically not cleaned at all. Rated 2 out of 5 by from Mixed Review While this dishwasher looks great and is super quiet, it leaves a lot to be desired on the functionality front. The racks aren't adjustable for the most part and about 50% of the time there is a mildew-y smell that is left over after the cleaning. Additionally, it doesn't seem to dry very well, albeit we are not thrilled about having to use a drying agent to in order to have dry, residue-less glasses and dishes. Overall, I would not recommend this dishwasher to a friend although I know it will probably last forever because it is a Kitchen Aid appliance. A blessing and a curse I suppose. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Better Dishwishers At Lower Prices IMO We just ran our first two loads. ProScrub w/heat dry - dishwasher was still wet after full cycle. Then, we ran a Normal cycle, the machine was dry after cycle but the dishes were not fully cleaned. A salad dish had residue and, a spoon with sour cream came out dirty. Utensils were still wet. Loading the pots for ProScrub option was too cumbersome. We spent a lot of money so we expected at least as good as our previous, lower priced competitor brand dishwasher. Really disappointed in this machine from a cleaning perspective. BUT it's noticeably quiet and that is exactly what we needed. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So quiet! We have been using our dishwasher for about 4 months and I am very satisfied with its overall performance. It is incredible quiet. We don't even know it's on when it's running. The racks are great and fit my dishes very well. The extra top rack is a great added feature that I use frequently. We are a family of 6 and I run the dishwasher 1-2 per day. The dishes come out very clean. Cons- Grime builds up in the bottom of the dishwasher. There is no smell, but I do have to wipe it out occasionally. The start button is a little annoying. I have to push it multiple times to get it to run. Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT HAPPY So disappointed in the dishwasher. It does not clean!! One dish is back in the dishwasher for the 3rd time. My coffee cups do not come clean. The top rack is always wet. Nothing dries well. I've had a problem canceling. I only wanted to delay 2 hours and it would not let me cancel the cycle. I actually hate this dishwasher. My 12 year old dishwasher worked better than this one. It wasn't even broken, we replaced it because a piece on the rack broke. Oh, loading this is always a challenge. For a dishwasher that is called ProScrub, there is nothing Pro or Scrubbing about it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT Dishwasher The dishwasher is so quiet and easy to use. My house has an open floor plan with the TV room next to the kitchen. I always ran the dishwasher at night due to the noise. This new Kitchenaide is very, very quiet and you cannot tell it is running. The shelves adjust - quickly & effortlessly - it also has a separate pull out shelf for the silverware. It is removable and I was skeptical about it's use but I now LOVE that feature. Silverware gets clean and no leaning over to get to it. It does have a traditional basket which I removed and put in storage. Dishes get clean and it is quiet - easy to use!! Rated 4 out of 5 by from quiet Bought all new Kitchenaid appliances for my remodeled kitchen last month. The first couple of times I used the dishwasher, my dishes were covered in water. I read the manual and it said I had to use RinseAid to make the water "dry" during the drying cycle. I poured the contents of the small bottle that came with the dishwasher into the appropriate hole. Ran another load, and It worked. No more standing water. I've never used Rinse Aid, because I read somewhere that it would cause your glassware to get foggy. I guess I'll have to wait and see. But, over all, I am pleased with the dishwasher. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great dishwasher We had a top of the line dishwasher from a major competitor. It had a broken sensor and quit working. Their service department gave us any kind of hassle and we figured that the repair would not be worth it. We purchased the current appliance and installed it ourselves. The door did not open and close properly and I called Kitchen Aid to ask what could fix it. The wonderful customer service rep told me not to worry, a service tech would be there the next day to take care of it. He came and fixed it in no time. What a difference. We love KitchenAid and will replace what we have of competitors brands. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Silence is golden I bought this unit to replace an older model when we remodeled our kitchen. It does a great job cleaning dishes. In these days of flu and colds, it's a bonus to have a unit that self adjusts the water temperature for both a "hi-temp wash" and a "sani rinse". I absolutely love the fact that you can hardly tell it's running. It's so quiet you have to really listen to hear it. If it wasn't for the light on the front of the dishwasher you wouldn't know it was running! Gone are the days of constantly adjusting the volume on the television as the older model progressed through its cycles! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Whisper queit! I bought this a month ago and so happy I chose this brand. I originally was going to go with another brand but my sister was so happy with her KitchenAid that may son and now myself own one. I must say neither of us are disappointed. I have to check sometimes just to make sure it's running. It also is a great water saver if your on well water like we are. The options give you a lot to choose from to make your life so much easier, and I have to say of all the dishwashers I've owned I've never had dishes come out so clean. If your on the fence with this purchase don't hesitate you won't be disappointed. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Kitchenaid is fantastic! I bought this a month ago and I'm enjoying it. Most important thing that we are enjoying is the sound! I can barely hear it when it is running as it is in a kitchen bar area that backs up to our den. It is good to hear the tv again. Not sure if I like the top rack as things don't seem to get clean and I'm not sure if I like the tops of the silverware caddies as it is to hard to use. But, other than those two items we love it. I hat kitchenaid at my previous home and it was good ten years later until we sold the house. Love Kitchenaid and look forward to buying a cook top soon. Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Thing Can Clean! With my old dishwasher, I had to scrub the dishes before I put them in the dishwasher and then I might have to wash them again when I took them out. No longer! Now I just rinse off chunks of food. No washing the dishes now after the dishwasher runs. Super quiet! I only hear water running. Love the 3rd rack for flat spatulas etc. I like the adjustability of the top rack. I like the silverware holder. The way it is designed keeps the silverware from nesting together. I did my homework. This dishwasher is on the high end of the spectrum as far as price and worth every penny. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Don't like the rack design I bought this model (KDTE2014ESS) for it's additional third (top-level) utensil rack for my new home. I previously owned the KUDE70FVSS, which was absolutely wonderful. I am disappointed in the new rack design. the times are so short they cannot securely hold flatware, which was the best feature of the older KUDE model. Moreover, the old model actually ran much quitter than the new one, even though it was rated at 41dBA, versus 46dBA on the new. Disappointed overall in this item. I should have done my research better, but then, why does KitchenAid mess with a good rack design? [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just like a KitchenAid The last KitchenAid we owned was 30 years old when we purchased the house. It performed great but was rather noisy and had many prongs broken off. We decided to replace with another name brand which my wife and I now refer to as "Life is Bad". After 8 years of replacing parts, noisy washings, and partially washed utensils and plates we decided to bite the bullet and replace it. We went with this model and have not had any issues at all. 2 monyhs in...Loving our KitchenAid! We love all the bells and whistles and the quality that went into this unit. Well worth the extra couple hundred to upgrade. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Quiet After having an earlier version of a KitchenAid dishwasher this is by far quieter. I would recommend this to a smaller family because of rack design and place setting size. It is very hard to determine place settings without having your own dishes .It seems that unless you load the smaller bowls correctly in the wash nozzles they do not get clean . This was unlike my earlier version where I could face the bowl toward the interior wall and still get scrubbed. Like mentioned earlier without the changing light colors on the outside we hardly know it is operating. Maybe a step backward in cleaning results. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Options and Cleaning I bought this dishwasher about a month ago to replace a very OLD one. I am so impressed at how quiet it is. I also love that the shelves slide on ball bearings and are SO EASY to slide in and out. Excellent cleaning and I appreciate the third rack in the top. The only thing I don't like is HOW LONG IT TAKES TO WASH A LOAD OF DISHES!! (and I wish the stainless steel finish didn't show smudges so easily) From what I understand though all brands of dishwashers now take A LONG TIME do to the "energy efficiency stuff" on them..... Overall I really like my Kitchen Aid dishwasher. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed - new machines are less Installation instructions for side mounting are incomplete and brackets are identical when there should be a left and right side. Worse is that the brackets are not properly aligned with the access holes! No instruction on how to remove the racks from the sliding mounts. It is not obvious. Proscrub does not clean pots. Machine does not grind food. Must clean out filter. Does not dry as well as older non stainless steel tub machine. 3rd rack is not needed and in fact can get in the way of tall items below in the 2nd rack. We like the appearance and 3 colored status light. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Quiet Is Deafening! This is our second KitchenAid dishwasher. The first gave us 20+ years of faithful, dependable service. So there was no hesitation to purchase a KitchenAid again. The features are wonderful, the cleaning performance is outstanding. The only complaint we have is that we must keep checking to confirm that it is running. How inconvenient (sarcasm). The KitchenAid we replaced wasn't noisy by any measurement; but we could hear it running. Our new KitchenAid is absolutely quieter than whisper quiet . . . a bit of getting used too. Thanks, KitchenAid, for an excellent dishwasher. But, of course, it is a KitchenAid. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Upgrade I purchased this dishwasher one year ago and have absolutely no complaints. It works like a charm and I am still impressed with all of it's features. I read mixed reviews on the 3rd drawer, but decided to purchase this anyway (as the small top drawer could be removed). We adjust the middle drawer as needed if we have large items in the bottom (middle drawer goes up) or stemware in the middle drawer (middle drawer goes down). The dishwasher is super quiet and does a fabulous job cleaning. There's a small amount of water on the top of some of the cups on the top shelf, but that doesn't bother me one bit. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Some issues I bought this dishwasher and have only used it 3 times. 2 out of the three times, the dishwasher would not start. Once I had to have a repair man come. He couldn't figure out why it wouldn't start either. To make it work, I have to first hit "cancel," let it go through some sort of reboot which takes about 5 minutes, then I can start it. This is very frustrating. I want to just hit start and the thing turns on like every other dishwasher in the world, but that has only happened once. When it finally washes, the dishes are squeaky clean, so I hope to resolve this issue and be able to rewrite a better review. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Deserves all the kudos I investigated this dishwasher because of it's great reviews in Consumer Reports and elsewhere online. After viewing it in person, I chose it, and a matching KitchenAid fridge. The dishwasher was easy to install, and runs like a dream. It has a tiny blue light on the front to indicate when it's running - and you need it. It's the quietest dishwasher I've ever come across. It looks flawless, and does its job perfectly. Everything comes out beautifully clean, and it dries even the plastic items evenly. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 39 dBA Dishwasher with ProScrub I have owned numerous dishwashers including several KitchenAid models and this is the ONLY dishwasher I have owned that removes the coffee and tea rings from our cups and anything stuck on the dishes that didn't rinse off before I put them in the dishwasher - and this is using the normal wash cycle without the ProScrub option! I have always had to use a dish brush to clean everything off the cups and dishwashers. This is amazing! And of course the ProScrub feature is awesome! It removes backed on cheese from casseroles!!! Plus this unit is so quiet we wonder if it's running! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Office Purchase - I want one now! Purchased this for an office of approximately 25, where I've always had problems getting employees to rinse/wipe off their dishes and in the past resulted in baked on food (our old dishwasher was purchased over 10 years ago), I guarantee the staff hasn't changed, but this dishwasher scrubs everything and our dishes have never looked cleaner. In addition, replaced wheels in the past, so this non wheel option is also awesome. Love the extra rack on top for knives and such. Would recommend this to anyone. If it can work for this crowd, with multiple users and abusers, it will surely work in a home environment. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quiet dishwasher I replaced all of my appliances with KitchenAid. I'm still getting to know them and I am for the most part very pleased. This dishwasher is very quiet. The loudest part is the water going down the drain! I like the 3rd shelf feature for cutlery. It seems solidly built. It dries the dishes pretty well with no heat, only the depressions in the top of the glasses still have water in them when finished. I wish the second shelf (for glasses) was more flexible in it's adjustments. It's either too high or too low for my dishes. All in all I believe it is a good dishwasher. The looks and the handle are what sold me. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my dishwasher! I bought this dishwasher a couple a months ago. I have an open floor plan so a quiet appliance was a must. This dishwasher is absolutely noise free. The LED indicator tells me when it is washing (blue), when it is drying (red), and the cycle is competed (white). Though I must say that I typically pre-rinse my dishes, still this dishwasher does 100% better job cleaning than my previous dishwasher. I have not noticed any food residue and it does a fantastic job drying. I like the third level rack and how the silverware basket is designed. Also, the rinse agent indicator is easy to read. In short, I am delighted with my choice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quiet, stylish and cleans well For the most part , we like this dishwasher....Only real issue we have is the drying. Dishes are still soaked after the cycle has finished, even with a drying agent chemical....and yes, i read and followed the instructions. Our family tries to avoid unnecessary chemicals and purchase less harsh, soaps but it was hard to find this in a drying agent. Coating our dishes we eat out of with a drying agent doesnt seem to be best way to avoid ingesting it. We assume the rinse cylce clears most of the soap off. Can you come up with a better alternative for drying? Something that doesnt need a chemical to do so. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than my Thermador and Miele dishwashers I originally bought a top of the line Miele dishwasher to replace a 15 year old Whirlpool. I returned the Miele one week later because of the problems I had loading dishes from one dinner for two people. I was also very unhappy because my dishes never dried. I exchanged the Miele one week later for the KitchenAid and I love it. My dishes come out clean and dry, due to a heating element that the Thermador and Miele do not have. It is relatively quiet and it's very easy to load. I love having the option to use the silverware caddy or the top third pull out shelf, which can also be used for container lids.
