Description

LePage® QUAD® Foam Sealant is a single component, minimal expansion and low pressure polyurethane foam packaged in a pressurized metal container. It is dispensed in bead form for sealing gaps and cracks, holes and voids around windows and doors, in most types of construction projects. The product exhibits slight to moderate expansion during application and cures upon reaction with moisture to form a flexible, urethane foam. The closed cell structure of this material provides an R factor of 5 per inch of cured foam making it an efficient method for stopping air and moisture infiltration and expensive warm and cold air loss between windows and rough frame. QUAD® Foam Sealant will not warp or deform windows and doors. QUAD® Foam Sealant adheres to all types of building materials including wood, concrete, and drywall and is compatible with asphalt and butyl flexible flashing.

Ecological Attributes

This product meets California Air Resource Board (CARB) stringent emission standards, which guarantee low emissions of volatile organic compunds (VOC) and therefore reduce the concentration of this pollutant in the air in your home.

Insulating Foam for Doors and Windows - Polyurethane - Beige is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Applicator Straw is absolute garbage I purchased 2 cans of this product for a window installation in my home. The nozzle is beyond laughable. Following the directions to insert straw in proper spot, twist 90 degrees and press down onto the nozzle in centre of can until it clicks, and press to apply; I did all of this with both cans, and I had more foam on my self, the window frame, and the cardboard I put on the floor (thank god I did!) than in the crack I was trying to fill. The product itself worked as advertised, as I expected from a company as well known as LePage, but the applicator is a total joke, although getting that crap off your hands and clothes is not a laughing matter. I will not buy again, and do not recommend anybody purchase this product without having a proper applicator.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst product Worst spray foam product I have ever used. Purchased for its ability to use in subzero temps. Nozzle straw was too narrow to function and I had to improvise my own. Depressing the trigger did not expel product; had to press the the air tip straight down with my thumb. Tried two cans, both the same. Will not purchase this again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Zero Stars This is the worst spray foam. The application straw stay together with hopes and dreams. Good luck getting it back together with foam all over the place.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a Good Product I purchased this item because I had a leaking vent in my roof that couldn't wait until spring, and it was the only thing I could find that was waterproof and could be applied below freezing. It will not stick to anything but itself. My original application was to fill a gap between some pvc venting pipe and the plywood in my roof. Just to make sure, I later tested it on some other materials I had lying around, namely metal and different kinds of plastic. It adheres to none of them. If you spray this into a gap, it will expand and come right back out of the gap towards you (the path of least resistance). It will not stick to any of the surfaces surrounding the void you want filled, and you cannot push or shape it (using a putty knife for example) because it sticks to itself something fierce. The only way I would recommend using it is to close off the opening to the gap or void you want filled with transparent tape (so you can still see into the void) leaving a small hole just large enough to accommodate the spray tube. Insert the tube and spray the foam. You may have to hold the tape in place with your hand against the expanding foam. You're going to have to fight it, because it will always attempt to come back out towards you, and never inwards where you need it to go. Also, have lots of acetone on hand before you use it. This stuff is very messy and only cleans up with acetone. Buy the smallest can possible, as it is a single use product. Once you use it, the dispenser will plug with hardened foam and the can cannot be used again.
