Not strong enough, food takes forever to cook!!
This is absolutely the worst product! It is so expensive and does not work properly. It takes forever to cook food, the burners are so slow/low flame, even the center power one is barely enough. To boil a cup of water takes 10-15 min minimum! It could be either the strength of the flames or also the fact that the grates are too far off, with a big distance between burner and your cooking pans/pots. Also, cleaning the surface is not easy at all (but this could be for any gas stove top). If pots are slightly smaller, like saucepans 1-2 quarts, they wobble due to the grates having gaps, big griddles and big pans are fine. I would never buy this again.

Overall Happy...just a few "pet peeves"
Pros: 5 burners in a 30 in cooktop, Like the Hi-temp burner in the middle for faster heating of water in large pots and the ability to get a really low flame as well. Like the overall look of the cooktop, burners come apart easily to clean.
Cons: SS surface not easy to clean - stainless finish shows lots of smudges. To clean SS surfacc must remove the three grates (fairly heavy) and if not REALLY careful the grates will easily scratch the SS surface when removed or replaced. Would prefer the burner knobs to go from Lo to Hi instead of Hi to Lo. To turn off the burner you must turn thru the highest setting.

Knobs not heat resistant!
I replaced my 25 yr old GE Profile Cooktop with this new cooktop with these knobs, installed on 1/7/2020–just three weeks ago! Last night, while cleaning up after cooking dinner, I noticed the silver paint missing from two of my knobs. Mistakenly, I thought the bad reviews about these knobs were problems resulting from user’s errors. Why would a cooktop be equipped with PLASTIC knobs that are not heat resistant? Okay, I understand that nothing today is made to last 25 years. However, I would certainly expect it to last more than a few weeks under normal use. UNBELIEVABLE!

Much improved over previous cook top
I have had my PGP9030 for 1 week. Love the control available to the burners. In fact they are so ht I haven't even cooked on high. On the flip side the grates are already warping which is a disappointment. Also the grates are very tall compared to my previous cook top. Easy to clean except around all the buttons. I slid a cookie sheet onto the grates and a button got scratched, so the buttons are too tall in my opinion. They should be shorter than the grates to avoid this. Overall I am pleased but I may be just pleased because my old cook top was really bad.

Great features
I like the cooktop it works as advertised. My problem is with the knobs. The paint is peeling with light cleaning they didn't even last a month.

Love the 5 burners
This is a great cooktop and an excellent value for the price. Deducted one star for 2 reasons: #1: As of this year's model, Company no longer includes the griddle with the cooktop, they made it an add-on feature (additional cost to you)-which is interesting since this year's model is either same price as last year's or more. # 2. Very easy to scratch the stainless surface when placing grates on. On the Plus side, the newer models now have the soft bumpers on the stainless surface now, instead of on the grates (which would fall off over time). The grates are very sturdy and well made, and thus, heavy, which makes it easy to place the grates on the stainless surface incorrectly and miss the bumper cushions causing permanent scratches.
This cooktop replaces an older model GE cooktop I've had for about 12 years. Great for cooking on-love the new model even more!

Great Cooktop but cheap control knobs!!
Love the gas cooktop, but this is NOT a smudge-less finish and it scratches easily. Also, the control knobs are cheap plastic with a “stainless-look” film that scratches off. GE could greatly improve the finishes on the cooktop and come up with metal/stainless control knobs. I would not have selected this model had I known these things beforehand. I’m very disappointed with the finish but function seems good.

Great upgrade!
Replaced a 14yr old GE cooktop. The new on looks great and works well. Very simple install.
The straps to secure the stove were too short so had to use my own so be aware.
I have seen comments about the gap at the front of the stove where it meets the counter. There is a small gap in the center, maybe 1/2 mm. I am pretty OCD and it is not something I can't live with.
