is this blower good for blowing snow, as well as leaves?
Thank you for your question. This powerful tool provides class leading mph and cubic feet per minute of airflow for moving leaves and debris. This unit can be used very effectively to move light dry snowfall in certain weather conditions.

What do they mean when they state that the blower carries a 125 hour rating? Are they referring to the life expectancy ?
Thank you for your question. The Environmental Protection Agency requires that engine labels include the emissions compliance period, in hours, over which the engine exhaust emissions system was tested. The 125 hour rating does not refer to life expectancy, it simply confirms this engine meets and exceeds the EPA testing requirement. You can expect many years of operation from a well maintained Cub Cadet backpack blower.

On line it states it uses a 40:1 fuel mixture which is what I purchased in pre mix form. But now that I have read the manual, it is telling me 50:1. Which is it? I have already run it with the 40:1 mix. Will this damage anything?
No, it will not hurt it. You are using more oil at 40:1, & possibly will foul the spark plug in less hours, BUT, the greater oil use will give more lubrication. The push to 50:1, (and even up to 100:1 with some outboard motors) is designed to reduce the air pollution, & enable them to be sold in jurisdictions like California.
Nearly all small 2 stroke engines, chain saw, leaf blower etc use 40:1
More important than 40:1 vs 50:1 is the gas used in the premix. DON'T USE GAS WITH ETHANOL. Many Premium grades have no ethanol, use that. Regular gas, with ethanol is the death of these small machines if left for a few months. And only buy small quantities, that you will use in a few months. Drain, or run ALL fuel out if you are going to leave it for a few months without use.

Very poor gas tank design
I bought this 5 mos ago as a gift and starting to use few times and this fall. I very worried gas is leaking from gas tank while Im using it. Any recall on this product or I bought a faulty one? Tried not put full tank but still leaking when you are moving around Performance wise its is great one and the issue only the gas tank design.
