Versatile mounting options
Slide can be mounted directly to cabinet side or to framing if a solid wall is not available using tabs that bend out 90 degrees.. Comes with plenty of screws. The only issue I had was when testing the slide before drawer installation. At times, the spring was not strong enough to completely return the slide to its home position, which I am sure will be negated when the full weight and momentum of the drawer is in play. Instructions were easy to follow and installation was fluid.

Same criticisms as others ...
Installation instructions are very poor, cursory at best and such small font, hard to read..
I installed on pull-out trash/recycling bin combo.
Problem is that they take an inordinate amount of force to open. The only application I can think of where this would be desirable, would be if you had small children who were into opening drawers; certainly this would present a challenge to toddlers.
Another "con" is that you really have to give them a hard push when closing to get them to engage the self-closing feature; if you don't push hard enough, they just hang up/stop at about 2-3 inches open.
I'm going to pull them out and replace with standard full-extension drawer glide ...

Not a premium product
The glides are a hard to pull at first. That is the part that "cocks" the mechanism to pull the drawer closed. The problem is that if you have small drawer knobs, it is harder to grab and pull it open. Also they are not consistent. I bought a different pair and they don't even slow the drawer when it closes. I think that pair needs to go back, but kind of a hassle when you can't tell until after you have installed it.

Slow Close
Put in 5 drawers (10 slides) a year ago. Both slides on one drawer failed - slammed drawer shut, no cushioning. This corresponds to another reviewers failure rate. With the heavy gauge of the metal, and the action of the slide itself, you would expect better quality in the damper.

Worse drawer slide I have ever purchased
Purchased a set of the drawer slides for a wardrobe I was building. After installing three different sets of the drawer slide (Returned all three as defective), I puchased a set of KV drawer slides which worked perfect on the same install. Don't waste your money on these poor quality slides. The good ones are not any more expensive and you'll save yourself alot of time and aggrevation.

High quality drawer slides
These are really nice, full-extension drawer slides. They seem quite heavy duty and should be able to support a heavy drawer. I installed these on a large 30" wide kitchen drawer that carries a fair amount of weight and they seem to work very smoothly. The instructions are a bit cryptic, but after rereading them several times I got these installed pretty quickly.

hard to open now
We bought these to replace damaged plain slides without the soft-close feature. Since it holds the silverware, the crashing of this drawer is especially loud.
Super easy to install the slides; only replace one screw each side of the frame and 2 on each side of the drawer box. I have no knowledge of the difficulty in starting from scratch.
However, the mechanism that keeps the drawer from slamming also holds the drawer shut like a champ. I thought it might loosen up with regular use over time, but after 2 weeks, you still need to plant your feet and puullll.
We'll be replacing this yet again with plain slides very soon. :(

Needs redesign
I use the Richelieu slides regularly...this is the first time for their self-closing style. I give top reviews for the regular slides, but not this style. It takes too much effort to open the drawer because this sets the self-closing feature. I was mot satisfied with the quality of the cabinet I made and the customer agreed. I took the entire cabinet, base cabinet pantry style with pull out spice rack, back to my shop and disabled the self close feature so it now pulls easily and my client is happy. The self-close feature needs a redesign to work with less effort.
