Common Freud Problem?
Brand new woodworker here, so take my comments with a grain of salt.
I got this blade almost completely onto my table saw when it got stuck about a 1/4 inch from being flush. Wouldn't come off, wouldn't go on. I tried prying and using a rubber mallet to try to get it off; didn't want to damage the blade or my saw. Finally, after ten minutes of trying various methods to get it off, I simply set to wiggling it back. After a minute (60. Seconds. Of Wiggling), I finally got it off. In my initial online research, Freud stood out as a good quality blade; it wasn't until I looked up "freud blade stuck on arbor" that I discovered that this is a common problem.
Now I'm all for tight tolerances in machined parts, but I think Freud is a bit too precise. I could probably try to smooth out the arbor a bit more or ream the chrome out of the inside in hopes that it works... but do I want to bother with all that crap, then try to keep the blade perfectly aligned at 90 degrees every time I take it on/off? I don't think so. I will be returning this blade later this week and trying another brand.
