Buyer Beware!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Buyer Beware: If you are considering buying a Samsung Refrigerator, think twice! My 2-year-old, "top-of-the-line" (model# RF28K9380SG) model's ice maker had to be replaced. For the cost of the refrigerator, that should not have happened so soon. I researched and discovered that there are known issues with defective ice makers in Samsung refrigerators. I called and the company acknowledged that they are aware of the problem. However, Samsung refused to replace my ice maker because my refrigerator was manufactured in March 2016 and not December 2016. This experience has given me a lack of consumer confidence for the Samsung brand.

Ice Maker is a Disastor
I loved this refrigerator. It was almost perfect until I started with ice maker problems. First time it was not making ice we pulled breaker in order to reset the computer. The directions in manual would not work. We went on vacation coming back to a red filter light and no ice. The ice machine was frozen solid. We changed the filter and still no ice. After I started reading dambehm.blogspot.com.I became so sorry that I did not read this before I bought it. All the other reviews showed 4 and 5 stars. This sight reflects the ice maker problems. If you are still going to buy, get the extended warranty

Needs a slot handle to get ice
One of the worse ice makers I have had. Too small, ice forms on the top of the ice maker which stops giving us ice. Afer a few days will start giving ice again. When you pull your glass away from the ice maker it despenses ice cubes on the floor. I have called in 7 times but only counts as three because I had made a couple of calls within 30 days and only counts as one. (Games people play). I have had a two different repairmen one who states the problem has been fixed the other said it had not been fixed. Ice is small and irregular. Please fix and it would be one sweet machine.

Flawed Beauty
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this appliance not only because of the 4-compartment flexibility but because it was marketed for its appearance. We have an open kitchen and have been disappointed that the black "stainless steel" finish amounts to a thin covering surfacing the stainless steel. Within 6 months there has been peeling of the surface layer on the doors, especially around the ice dispenser. Samsung has responded that this is a "cosmetic issue" and has been unwilling to offer repair or replacement. The fridge does fine functionally, but it is a real disappointment to share its shabby appearance with our family and guests.

What a mistake I made
Yes this refrigerator looks great however quality and reliability sucks. First I had problems with the ice maker freezing up on the outside. This issue took 1 year to resolve with numerous calls and no results until June 2017. Now The freezer's compressor failed and its only 2 years old. It's now 1 week with no freezer or ice. I have an elderly resident here with no resolutions from Samsung. I have been told by not only an independent service advisor as well as Samsung's technician the best and most inexpensive and fastest way to resolve this issue would be to replace the entire unit ASAP since the dual compressor is a "sealed system."

Pretty as a Picture!
My wife fell in love with the Samsung 4 Door French/Side-by-Side Refrigerator when she first saw one on a Korean Soap (English Subtitled version) either late 2013 or early 2014. She said she was going to get one when they offered a cabinet depth version. Samsung introduce the cabinet depth version at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in the Spring and we purchased one for our home. Cabinet depth refrigerators line up nicely with 24" dept of US cabinets but they have much smaller capacity than standard depths refrigerators so we purchased a side-by-side in the Utility Room to augment. The Samsung 4 Door French/Side-by-Side Refrigerator certainly is pretty as a picture...

Really cool refrigerator
So far, I'm really loving my new Samsung fridge. I love that the freezer is accessed by doors instead of drawers, as I've heard quite a few people complain about their drawer-style freezers. The only complaint I have is that there are only two refrigerator drawers (my old fridge had three), and the drawers are fairly shallow, too. Other than that, it is very roomy, pretty quiet, and beautiful to look at. I haven't converted the flex zone yet, but it's nice to have the option should I need it. Having only had it one week, I can't attest to its durability, but I'm hoping that this is the last fridge I'll have to buy for a long time.

Scratches too easily
I like the fridge a lot. I got the black stainless steel and it was a complete mistake as it scratches very easily. I slid a magnet over an inch and it left deep scratches in my fridge. And they're very noticeable. I wish someone would have told me about the poor quality of the finish before purchasing this. The shelving in the doors is also subpar. And the veggie drawers are not big enough. There seems to be spaces for extra shelving but I never received extra shelves/drawers. If I could go back in time I would have purchased a different fridge.
