Free-Standing Gas Convection Range - 5.8 cu. ft - Stainless is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 559.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great oven, WHEN it works The range is about 8 months old. The top burners work great. The oven, convection function all work great the the oven heats properly. I hear the gas come on and the it attempts to ignite, if it does, all is well, but about one third of the time it fails to ignite. It can take an hour or longer before the oven finally starts, or it indicates that it has pre-heated but afterward the oven stops heating and the oven goes cold. At this point I'm thinking it needs to be replaced. Sadly, I cannot depend on it to cook a meal in a reasonable amount of time. I would rate this 4-5 stars if I could depend on the oven functioning properly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Range review We bought this range to go with the other KitchenAid appliances we put in our new home. We wanted them to match, the reviews and research said they were good. I've had good luck with my mixer and other small appliances in the past. The pro's of this range: the stainless top...now we can scrub it without damaging any porcelain pieces. The grill top is heavy and sturdy. The cons- it cooks way too hot, so every burner we use on Low, unless we are trying to boil something in a large pot quickly. And the unit itself gets hot to the touch. We have older kids, so this isn't as big of a safety concern for us since they know better.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The front of the range gots HOT! I've never had a stainless steel stove before so perhaps that is the problem, I just don't know. We just purchased a gas Kitchenaid range. When we use the front burners and the oven or even one front burner and the oven, the panel behind the controls and the rim around the stove get extremely hot. So hot you cannot keep your hand on the panel where the on/off controls reside. I had a Kenmore Elite gas stove with a glass top and it never got this hot. I have spoken with customer care about my issue. They say they haven't had any complaints except one a few weeks ago with this issue. Is this extreme heat normal? I have a few days left to return it but even if I did, I wouldn't know what to replace it with.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good addition! We've had the range a couple weeks and so far so good. I'd like to have one of the large burners to the back rather than both up front, the storage drawer doesn't hold much and is whimpy. The griddle is new to us but worked fine our first try. The burners come on quickly and heat more evenly than our last KA which I love. I haven't baked enough in the oven to give a good review so I'm hopeful it's accurate. The cooking surface doesn't clean up as easily as I had hoped nor look nice even using the recommended product. The grates aren't has beefy as the other but like that they hook together for a more stable cooking area. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the look! Stove is fantastic! Never knew how a real stove should cook until I bought this one. Have used it since Christmas and once I adjusted the oven up and learned my way around the burners thing are going great. Only difficult problem is the simmer burners are in the back and I am short. More a design problem on my part than the stove! And I think KitchenAid should design a hinge for the top grates! Being short, there is that problem again, if you lift them up for a quick clean they scratch the back of the stove and they are very heavy to lift off after ever time you use the stove top. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Major Rip Off I bought this stove 2 1/2 months ago. Tried to clean it after 2 weeks of minimal oven use with the AquaLift Self Cleaning technology (2 cycles) and it was completely useless. KitchenAid should reimburse all their customers for the misrepresentation of their self cleaning technology. Additionally the oven temperature needed to be adjusted 2 times by technicians, the stove top is impossible to clean after normal cooking, and one burner turns itself off at the lowest simmer setting, however the gas stays on. I will be getting rid of it immediately. I am so disappointed in kitchen aid. I have had previous kitchen aid appliance and bought this stove on their reputation. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Front gets WAY too HOT! I have had this range for about 3 months. From the start, the piece of metal behind the knobs got entirely too hot. The range has been serviced multiple times for this reason...new gasket, new door stoppers, new door hinges. Nothing helped. I am not comfortable having my young children anywhere near the range while the oven is on. Last service person measured the temperature of the front metal piece at 225 degrees, which is insanely hot. Basically, everyone I spoke to at Kitchenaid agreed that it was too hot, but since there was technically nothing "wrong" with the range, there was nothing they could do. Luckily, after much back and forth, I am able to exchange it since I bought it from a local store. Great looking range with many great features, but be especially careful if you have young children.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Another lemon? Bought his range a year ago, and the cooktop is completely discolored, and now impossible to clean. It has been very difficult to clean from the get go without scratching it. Same for the griddle, if I scrub a little bit it wears off the enamel (see pictures). I had to replace the oven blub twice in a month, the last picture show how the light broke. I had to use a plier to remove it. Very disappointed with the purchase, and with KitchenAid products in general. We bought a dishwasher at the same time and the door is all scratched and have rust marks that cannot be removed.
