"Flexio 570" Paint Gun is rated 3.2 out of 5 by 87.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from worked very well I had used an older Wagner sprayer in the past and it worked pretty well, so I though I would try Wagner again when I painted the exterior of my house, getting it ready to sell. I was very happy to learn that this product worked even better than the older Wagner that I had used. I painted the entire outside over the course of several days, the time was mainly for taping and masking off. I ran about 7 gallons of paint through the sprayer and it worked great, only one time did I have a slight issue with globbing and that was due to the little washer inside not being seated properly when I reassembled. I corrected that and things were fine again. This spring I will be painting the exterior of my new house and will use the same sprayer

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy tom use once the settings are correct It works very well and makes a little paint cover a large area. But unless you take a few moments to get the flow and air adjustments correct for the weight of what you are spraying, you'll have issues like dribbling paint out of the nozzle and loads of overspray. This can ALL be avoided.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What a mess I tried to stain my 10x8 deck yesterday with semi-transparent stain and it turned out to be quite a mess. I tried to dial in best I could but always seems to have heavy spray, but I figured this was user error on my part. Then the real messes started happening. First every time you would pause then start to spray again it would splatter out a mess then return to normal spray. THEN the ultimate mess began toward the end when the stain started just pumping out on it's own leaked out almost the entire container with no way to stop it. Lost at least a quart of stain on top of the ridiculous mess all over my deck. Very sad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent spayer but clean-up takes time Far better to use than airless sprayer in my exerience - less sensitive to paint clogging when spraying latex out of the can. The balance of the sprayer is excellent and my wrist didn't mind a day of serious house painting. Too bad that HVLP will make a larger paint supply difficult but I happily trade the frequent paint fills for the lack of hassle spraying. The sprayer externals take alot of work to keep looking like new. The finish is nasty to clean and the air filters for the turbine shouldn't get soaked when in the sprayer. Most impressive is the Wagner customer service. I would bet that nobody who had problems with the sprayer contacted them as one email got very fast response and my problem(s) were solved. None of the "Contact your vendor" or any excuses. The Wagner reps. knew their product. Amazing. It is not made for abuse so be nice to it and it should last. Suggest a spare set of air filters to swap out while cleaning dirty ones. I expect to have to wash them out very soon. It is not built for commercial abuse but being careful with it should keep it working for a long time. My ratings of "durable" and "high quality are qualified. Thought went into the design. Not a house painter but sprayed many a car and done fair amount of exterior house painting. .

Rated 1 out of 5 by from HORRIBLE PRODUCT!!! Sprayer does not perform like it's product description and is worse than the old Power Painter. I purchased this to spray an exterior door but used it first on an exterior wall for the angle that meets the eve and also at the ground, spraying S-W exterior satin latex . Splatter finish only and unable to use for the door. The messiest product I've ever used!! High setting left an unbelievable amount of overspray. Low setting still had an unacceptable amount of overspray. When letting off of the trigger, the splatter thickened onto the project and then paint POURED out of the spray nozzle making an unbelievable mess. Nearly 1/4 of the paint was lost on the ground and covered the painter. The cleanup took longer than the painting project. I read all of the instructions first and then went through the toubleshooting guide. Everything was assembled as recommended but the sprayer would not perform as described.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Spray tip breaks I bought this sprayer in late July this year. Used it once soon after and everything seemed fine. Took it out to use it again last weekend and when I went to spray the paint, it splattered everywhere. When I sat the sprayer down on the floor, paint leaked out from the spray tip/nozzle (yellow piece) where the paint comes out. I returned it to Lowe's and they replaced it with another sprayer. I did some research online and found people on YouTube and on the HD reviews that said Wagner has a replacement nozzle/tip that is supposedly redesigned. I called Wagner and the lady said no such tip exists, and she made some excuse about running a bunch of paint through the gun over time will weaken parts. I asked if it should weaken them enough in one use to break parts and she said that shouldn't happen. So basically from what people say online about this sprayer, the yellow tip will keep cracking and I'll have to call Wagner every time to have them replace it. So much for using the sprayer for more than a day at a time. When the spray tip is not cracked, the sprayer works pretty well. I would make sure to strain older paint because globs will come through the sprayer and get on your surface if you don't strain.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ok for the price It's not a professional airless sprayer by any means. But for the price it does a reasonable job on small projects.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from colossal waste of money Save your money and time. Just after 5 minutes of operation, the sprayer began to clog and sputter. I cleaned the device multiple times and the sprayer just would not perform. The box looks good on the shelves and that is where it needs to stay. If you feel the need to use a paint sprayer, you should consider using an aerosol paint cans for your project. I spend more time cleaning and returning the sprayer than actual painting. Wagner needs to seriously reconsider the design of their sprayers and hire different engineers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wish I would have purchased one sooner I purchased the Flexio 570 because I had a set of louvered bi-fold closet doors that I needed to paint. The thought of brush painting these doors drove me to delay this project much longer than I should. I did my research on line, read the reviews, viewed the tutorials on You Tube and came to the conclusion that this model was just too good to pass on. Bought it one day, used it the next. All of the instructions were clear and concise. Clean up was easy and now I'm looking for additional projects to complete. This sprayer was easier to use than I ever imagined. I should have purchased it sooner. Thanks Wagner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple to use, quiet, easy to clean and delivers excellent results What attracted us to the Wagner Flexio was the additional Detail Finish nozzle as we wanted to use the sprayer to custom finish some interior furniture with an antique/weathered effect and we weren't sure if the regular gun would produce a smooth enough finish. We have a 1hp airless paint sprayer however it would empty a quart of paint in a heartbeat, which is why we opted for the Wagner for this job. The instructions are very straight forward and worth a read as it pays to adjust the spray volume to avoid 'splatter'. We used regular interior eggshell enamel and thinned it out 10:1 or 10 percent so we could use it in the Detail Finish gun and it handled it without problems. The Wagner tech support was very helpful and recommended thinning the paint so we could use the Detail Finish gun. A couple of things are really helpful in this sprayer - firstly you can depress the trigger to run the fan without having the paint come out. This means it is easy to get the gun up to speed without needing to have the paint spraying before you reach the area you want to paint unlike an airless sprayer. As a result of this, there was very little overspray which otherwise wastes paint. I also liked it that the gun will stand up when you need to set it down due to the fact that the bottom of the handle and the spray pot are level with each other. Finally when it came to clean up, it was a breeze and much simpler than our airless sprayer. The gun is also very quiet and despite using the gun at several different angles while painting the table, it never failed to deliver paint at a constant level. While I didn't use it for an extended period, it certainly doesn't feel too heavy, even when about 3/4 full of paint. Despite leaving the paint in the Detail Finish gun overnight in the fridge so it wouldn't cure because we were still finishing the job off, the gun cleaned up to like new condition in about 5-10 mins due to the smooth plastic 'easy clean' finish. When looking at the attached pictures, bear in mind that the 'antique' look is intentional. My wife sanded down this pine table, then painted it with a matt black spray paint. We then smeared a layer of wood glue on the table surface and allow it to dry for 2-3 minutes before spraying on the interior eggshell enamel and then helped it dry with a hairdryer. In this case, the color is 'Mint Majesty' and as you can see, it creates an antique, weathered finish once dry. The final stage will be to seal it with a polyurethane varnish which the Wagner can also handle using the Detail Finish gun. Excellent product and our plan is now to try it out on an exterior door where we would have otherwise used the airless sprayer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent sprayer for household use!! I just bought this yesterday and sprayed my cinderblock garage exterior with Dutch Boy Dura-Weather Maxbond exterior latex which is incredibly thick. Frankly, I was skeptical that this (or any other sprayer for that matter) would be able to handle that paint without thinning. All I can say is "Wow"! The Flexio sprayed evenly and quickly, no drips, or spurts. It did clog about halfway through the job but that was because I put it down for about 30 min and the paint dried inside the nozzle. That took all of 5 minutes to clear and it was back in service! The instruction booklet is very clear and concise and also has a chart to inform you of the proper settings depending on the type of material you are spraying. I also found that it reduces the amount of time it takes to paint because there is no need to feather out brush and roller strokes. Clean-up is fast and easy too.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, when it works. The sprayer worked great when painting an entire house interior, worked great when I painted my privacy fence. It seems after these two uses I could continue with it, but the paint just will not come out of the bowl. I troubleshooted it several times, cleaning, new filters , new o-rings, but to no avail. Again, works great when it works. Having misplaced the receipt after owning it less than a year means I'm stuck with an ornament. Why should I invest in parts when I'm skeptible that it will not work again. Come on, Wagner, let's make these sprayers last !!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Idiot-Proof design My first power painter. Excited to try it I took it to the shed with some scrap wood. I got called away while spraying and forgot about the painter until months later when the weather warmed up. I was prepared to buy a new one since this was out with paint in it during sub-zero temps in an unheated space. But I decided to try. I removed and cleaned the spray tip, but some warm water in it and fired it up. It sprayed like normal! Now I'm using it all the time without any problems. Thank you for a product that can handle my abuse.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Worked well... until it didn't Purchased the unit about 10 months ago to paint a table. Worked great. Spray was a little uneven but did the job. Took it out to paint a small waist high fence last weekend. Worked well for about 2 sections and then the motor died. Called in and they said if it is dead for more than an hour its probably dead. My fault for not keeping the receipt for warranty. Again does the job, easy to clean, but I found it unreliable for long term use. I really only used it twice so would have hoped for a better lifespan out of the unit.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This product does not deliver. I purchased this sprayer to do smaller projects like doors and cabinets. I tried to use it to spray on the primer coat on a door and the delivery was splotchy and inconsistent. Very disappointing for a product that is advertised to be so good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly good I intended to use this sprayer to do maintenance work around some rental property, small houses in a small complex. It would not be used to paint an entire house. I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of use since I had never used a small sprayer before. Setup is a breeze with little tweaking to do. The spray force is too light to be used in very windy conditions, but then this is a self-contained unit, not a professional sprayer and compressor set. First I painted an 8' x 4' panel, white exterior latex primer over bare plywood. The primer went on smooth without any runs on the vertical surface. I had a problem with the spray pattern being too narrow, but after reviewing the instructions, I realized I was using the wrong spray setting. I had misinterpreted the pattern to be a match for the orifice on the front, instead of following the instructions. I was actually using a narrow pattern, meant for trim work. Once I corrected the setting to wide, all went well. The lesson there was to trust the manual. The unit is somewhat noisy and might be a problem if needed in a quiet area. Fortunately I had no issues with the noise. Cleanup was a time-consuming process. If you are doing a small job, you might not want to use this unit, but brush/roll it instead. It takes a while to clean up the unit and tank, reducing the convenience of using this type of sprayer. For this job of spraying an 8' x 4' panel, it was probably a tossup as far as time and effort was concerned over using a brush/roller. In order to reduce the cleanup time and to keep fast-drying latex from making it even slower and more difficult, I recommend that before you start painting, you set up a small bucket with warm water to be used in place of the reservoir for cleanup. That way you don't have to clean the reservoir until after cleaning the spray head. Of course, you could just buy a spare screw-on reservoir to do that, but that would be a mail/phone order process. See the last few pages of the manual for details on ordering spare parts like the reservoir/tank. Having a small stiff brush would be helpful also. Something like a dental brush works nicely. One point regarding the cleanup: After wiping off the unit with a sponge and water, I was unable to switch it on without tripping the GFCI breaker. Apparently some water had gone inside and temporarily caused a shorting problem. After the unit dried, I had no issue. Overall, the most helpful thing I can say is: Read all of the manual first!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product...does what it says. Easy to use right out of the box. Directions were simple & in minutes I was spraying a project. As with most sprayers it went very quick...that's why we use sprayers right. Sprayed unthinned paint very well which I like. Hate thinning paint. The only thing I would like to see is a filter screen for the paint like the Wagner Paint Crew has. I have one of those also & it works very well. Having to pour paint through a screen filter first is the only drawback, but its not enough to make me stop using it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Less options is MORE I really liked this version of the Flexio because I am a beginner and it allowed me to only have so many choices. It was an effective sprayer and once you dial in the settings properly for your type of job...you can get it done quickly and effectively. I would recommend this to others for sure. The cost is a real value to be able to have a sprayer than can go indoor and outdoor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from made quick work of a large job after expanding our deck the job of staining/sealing seemed daunting. This spray gun made quick work of the task. Of note, the reservoir emptied quickly and i was refilling it often.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No need to be intimidated by this sprayer, Im a novice and love it. Ive rolled and brushed paints and stains many times but never owned or used a sprayer. Very few tools do, but this intimidated me and I was reluctant to use it. I grabbed some scrap plywood and drywall and set up a test area for the sprayer and did some painting and some staining (it cleaned up easy between the two products). After I figured out to ease into the trigger, partially depressing it before pulling it all the way, it produced a very even spray and surface with little to no over spray or mist. I wont be reluctant to use it again and have plans to do so this fall when staining the new deck we just built. Im going to bush or pad the floor but spray the balusters and rails, using a cardboard backer to control spray thru. Welcome to my toolbox Wagner Sprayer, your gonna be my new Little Friend! LOL

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Messy tool I found the Flexio 570 HVLP paint sprayer to be sloppy. When completing a spray, the unit dribbles while 'winding down'. I constantly had to wipe the front of the sprayer and wound up wearing more paint than I should have. This unit makes me miss the older units. I also found it difficult to clean as the dribbling created a puddle inside the unit that eventually drained back into the fan unit. Poor design. Poor performance. Did it work? Yes. Would I buy it again? Probably not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product My mother in law wanted the exterior of her house painted. Using this tool made the project a breeze. Even with a full container of paint, this sprayer was very light and easy to handle..I like the X-Boost power dial.It allowed for faster coverage... and the 2 settings for either horizontal or vertical spraying I think is a big plus..I liked the spray width adjustment as well. I used a narrower setting to hit the trim around the house without having to worry about over spray getting on the bricks..Clean up was easier than cleaning rollers or paint brushes in my opinion..Project time was cut by at least 75% using this than if I had used traditional paint and bucket. My mother in law was very pleased with the outcome. I say any tool you can buy that pleases a mother in laws expectations is well worth purchasing..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Leap in Technology Twenty years ago I needed to spray paint shutters, the only real way to paint them. Technology then left 10 finger nails on the ground for me to gather and super glue back on. I absolutely DREADED having to buy and use another electric paint sprayer. AMAZING is all I can say about the product's quality today. Zero vibrations, the mechanism no longer relying on oscillating at the 60 cycles per second from the wall outlet. However they did it they earned a fan for LIFE.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Gift for your Hubby I, personally, do not want to use the paint sprayer. However, my husband loves it and has added additional paint jobs to his "honey do" list, so, because of that...I love it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not user friendly at all Bought this to stain our fence, then to paint our house. It was horrible at staining the fence, very poor and complicated instructions, why not just make it simple? this unit is NOT user friendly at all, it was very messy, too much overspray and hard to clean up, I really hate it, with all the cleaning up, I could have done it just as fast with a brush and roller, its going back to Lowes. Dont waste your money, its overpriced junk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flexio 570 Airless Sprayer This sprayer was a huge time saver when I installed privacy lattace around the underpinning on my home. It did a great job for me. The more I used the sprayer, the better I got at using it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Paint Tool I've ever used! I recently purchased my new home which needed a drastic color change inside. I tried the brush and roller which took hours to do one room. I don't have that kind of time to waste on 4 bedrooms, garage, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, and living room. I was able to prep all rooms and paint 3 different colors all in on weekend. This is the single best item I've bought for this house! It literally took about 10-15 minutes per room but my garage and living room took close to 25 minutes. Clean up was not bad either. I highly recommend this sprayer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It laughs at Latex out of the can but is nasty to clean externally I love the sprayer with a few reservations. The Flexio filters will need fairly frequent replacement as they are not really suitable for cleaning. No vendors seem to sell them or any of the parts that might reasonably be expected to need replacement. "Cupped" "O" ring as second possible item. The sprayer hand unit/turbine is not easy to clean without much worry about water getting into filters and turbine. The finish on the external parts is such that they are not the easiest to clean. I'd suggest light cleaning of the unit with each fill of the cup or any time you stop for a little while (very little) to minimize total cleanup hassle when done for the day. Too bad about the cleanup hassles as the unit really does a fantastic job painting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked As Advertised Just started on an outdoor play set and did the inside (was too windy for the outside) and it worked better than I expected and well designed. This is going to save many hours from when we stained by hand several years back and easy to get in corners. Just need to take your time cleaning, it takes some time. Can't wait till the wind dies down to do the outside, would dread doing this with a brush again.
