I have used the fertilizer on my Hybrid Tea roses and Hydrangea's (Smooth and Pink). Then discovered there is another product for Roses/Flowers. Is that OK? Or will it cause any damage?

The package says to add within drip line. My trees are mulched which is 2 inch away from trunk. I am wondering can I add around trunk since mulch is covering soil or do I need to add under mulch then put back mulch?
Thank you for inquiring about MiracleGro Shake N Feed Flowering Trees and Shrubs. This fertilizer should not be applied under mulch unless it is a very thin layer of mulch, and should not be applied near the trunk of the tree. You can apply the fertilizer and then reapply the mulch in a thin layer, or we recommend using one of our other plant foods. If you have any questions or would like further assistance with this matter, please contact us at http://tinyurl.com/noc5mcg and one of our representatives would be glad to assist you.

Truly amazing!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in northern Michigan with very poor soil conditions (by a lake and very sandy). I used this around my trees, bushes and flowering plants and they all look amazing. While I'm out watering my plants, people will stop while walking by and tell me how beautiful my yard looks. I attribute this to the quality plant food they've been getting. My yard looks like a postcard and I love this product!

Wonderful Product, makes the colors come out in your plants
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a wonderful product that Scotts has come out with. It makes the wonderful and beautiful colors come out in your plants to the fullest. Please make sure that you follow the directions for it, you don't want to over do it. Plants only require so much of anything. You will be amazed with the outcome of the colors of your plants.

Easy to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked the fact that this feed didnt need to be measured out and mixed with water. Last season I bought another brand and took me forever to feed all my trees due to the time it took to measure and mix. This product from Miracle Gro is great! You shake over your trees and shrubs then water in and thats it! I put this down on Good Friday and by the next week all my trees had bloomed and looked beautiful! i will use this again next year!

This product is excellent for flowering shrubs.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scotts fertilizer products give great results when the directions are followed. Scotts flowering tree and plant food is easy to use with easy to follow directions. Consistent results can be counted on. This is a new formula, but I have used this plant food for several years!

Wow - Great Product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this product and now a week later my Leyland Cypress have waken up from the winter and have started growing. This product only lasts 3 months, so I will have to update you before the next feeding. Otherwise, I have always found Scotts/Miracle Grow products to be fantastic products.

Shake'Feed worked very well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Shake'n Feed worked very well on all of our shrubs,
and in addition it was most effective on our azaleas, which are presently loaded with buds ready to burst into blossoms just as soon as we get a couple of days of sunshine !( Today is May 4;we are in north central OH ).

Descent Product
I don't have a lot of storage space at the very tiny house I rent so having to buy a dispenser was not appealing. Why call it Shake and Feed if it comes in a bag? It is too early to say whether or not it is going to have a fabulous effect long term, but it appears to be having some immediate positive affect on my shrubs. Of course, I also added some Miracle Gro garden soil to the area too, so the combination may be what's doing it.
