Expanding Foam is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 171.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Stuff This is the answer to undesirable drafts that can be reached with the 6" spout. Spray a little and watch it expand into any crack you don't like. In the past, once you started the spray action, you might as well use up the whole can, as the remainder in the spout would get hard and make the can useless for more applications later on. That issue appears to be solved, somehow the manufacturer figured out the way to make the Stuff not adhere to the spout. The little bit which did adhere I could poke out with a long wire (I used a bare wire from a 12 gauge conduit). So now the can last longer and can be re-used and so I say: Yippee. This is truly Great Stuff!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As the name implies, "Great Stuff" I have been using Great Stuff for years. If people would read the instructions before using it, they would not have a problem. Yes, I have had a can or two that I had to return with no problem. Heck, anything that man has something to do with is going to mess up occasionally. One thing to remember, the higher the humidity, the more it expands. I have even used it to fill lawn mower tires to keep ;them from going flat because of Mesquite thorns. My next project is to fill under a bath tub in an older mobile home because of the heavy weight renter. Never have had a problem taking anything back to Lowe's.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Takes a little practice, does a good job Nothing beats this stuff for sealing gaps, cracks, etc. Sticks to everything except thick dust. The downside to this is it doesn't come off places you don't want it. And it will expand more than you think, so as someone else said, go slow. I've had good luck reusing cans after a few days just by cutting the straw off below the gummed up end. You actually get more control. When you're getting to the end of the can, just shake more often and keep the tip in the foam so it doesn't spray out the propellant only. And, if you're using a lot in a small space take a fresh air break once in awhile!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Stuff!! This stuff is great. I've used it many time as I do heating and air conditioning work for a living. Great for sealing around any penetration you have to make in a wall or floor. I have read through the reviews here and it is laughable how much people are complaining about the one time use of the product. Really people its a great product for under 5 bucks. If you're that uptight about only getting to use the can one time, look around your house, plan your job in advance and i'm sure you can find other areas to seal where you can use the majority of the can. I have purchased more expensive products that I only got to use one time and this is a great product for the price is very reasonable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good overall-- but not much to compare to I used this product over wax paper, which peeled right off. This may be a good drop cloth or something to use like painter's tape to further control the product. I also made contact with glass and metal, which it cracked right off of easily. I got some on my hand, but it came off easy enough when wet with a little Gojo. I did notice the product came out at a runnier consistency at the beginning and larger and fluffier toward the end. May have something to do with the temperature of the product (around 65). Would probably be easier to handle at 75-80. Enough to cover many yards of cracks. I wish there were some competitors to choose from, perhaps an off-brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stuff thats an understatement I used this stuff one night about 1130 when my wife woke me up and said that our roof was leaking. I wasnt sure what was going to work but had a can of this spray foam so I tried it. To my astonishment it started to harden while their was rain water constantly dripping through it. Once the rain subsided it continued to expand and completely sealed the hole in the roof. I would most definately recommend this to anyone and use it again. My only issue with it is that once you lose the little nozzle that comes with it your up the creek for applying it the normal way...had to get creative and in the attic laying on my back that was a feat in and of itself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Stuff I have used this many times both in new and old construction. The benefits you get out way the cost of buying another can. I never seem to reuse the product because I always find ways to utilize the whole can. When it comes to sealing a large or small hole nothing compares. It stays in place, seems to last forever and can fill a void faster than any other method I have tried. Without a doubt one of the best p[roducts on the market.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superior Product I use this product a lot. I have 4 homes I take care of. The first thing you MUST do is read and follow the label directions people. Make sure the ambient temp is correct for using this product. It won't work if it is too cold. Make sure your work area is clean and dry. Use masking tape around the work area since it's going to be messy. Wear gloves! This stuff is super sticky. It wouldn't work if it weren't. Also wear eye and breathing protection. Start at the edges and work in. Once it's dry, you can sand it, paint it and no one will ever know there was a repair done. If you get a can that just doesn't work, take it back to Lowe's and they will trade it out for another can. If you plan on reusing your can of Great Stuff, extra long pipe cleaners work well to clean out the straw and are available in the hobby dept of most big department stores. Used properly, this is one of the best and easiest to use products I have found on the market.
