my garage is 530 sq ft ho w many cans will i need thanks hilary
I have personally used this product for indoor applications (floors) on several occasions, and I truly believe that it is the Best one for the price.
However, square footage coverage indicated on can isn't really accurate - in my opinion.
I would suggest 2 (two) 3.78L cans. I was getting about 250-ish sq ft per can.

Is the tint base clear or white ?
Hi Hawthorn,
Thank you for your question.
Our Epoxyshield Concrete Floor Paint is more of a murky clear color, which will then be tinted at the store.
We hope this answers your question. Feel free to contact us again if you require further information.

CAN IT FILL AND LEVEL SOME SMALL IRREGULARITIES OF THE SURFACE. CAN WE ALSO APLLY A SECOND COAT
Yes on both. I did 2 coats. I also added the optional grit to make it really slip resistant, and it is very successful from that viewpoint even when wet. Only, its flat finish shows the dirt. Esthetically, a high quality clear topcoat would be nicest, but it could be slippery.

Can it be applied over a previously painted garage floor? Assuming any peeling paint is removed?
Yes, the Epoxy Shield Concrete Floor paint can be applied to a previously painted surface provided the existing coating is in good condition, and well cleaned. Sanding the existing paint with 60 grit sandpaper prior to coating with the Epoxy Shield Floor paint is recommended.

How many square footage do it cover
Read the label but usually I would say less than 80% of it as our floor is not in perfect condition. Also it depends on the application.

Don't buy this product
I bought this product at Lowe's and installed it on my garage floor (new construction). I followed all the instructions, acid etched the concrete etc. The product is coming off the concrete, in some cases peeling off in big pieces.

Disappointed
Fall 2019 used 1/2 a can in the basement wet room floor and that’s fine. Used a can and a half to do garage after scrub washing and drying for a week first. Cured for 5 days after applying.
Spring 2020: product has bubbled off wherever standing water laid from snow melt off the vehicles. Floor will need to be redone.

The Rust-oleum Epoxy was easy to apply and the finish has not marked or scratched. Very durable.
