Description

With precise temperature control, this Frigidaire Gallery electric induction range provides great results with even heating and fast temperature changes. Heat is transferred to cookware instead of the cooktop surface, so pots heat up while the surface stays cool. The oven features a quick bake convection option, with a fan that circulates heat for even baking and browning. The oven has a self-clean option and the cooktop and the smudge-proof black stainless steel finish are easy to keep clean, bringing performance and convenience to your kitchen.

Electric Induction Range - 5.4 cu. ft. - Black Stainless is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 405.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best range yet!! We purchased this range about 2 months ago as a replacement for a traditional flat-top electric range. We originally wanted gas in order to avoid over cooking/heating when a pan is left on the "burner". Too expensive to get gas to our kitchen...induction was recommended. BEST DECISION EVER!! Another problem with our previous range...inaccurate temps in oven. This is perfect. INSTANT on/off and exact temps in oven. We've had MANY different stoves/ranges...this is THE best. Quick to bring range-top up to temp...water boils in <1 minute...it will change the way you cook...for the better!!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad product, worse service! I bought this range in June and the front right burner has never worked properly. It will barely heat and won’t even boil water. The same pot of water boils easily on all the other burners. I’ve had several repair attempts but the problem persists. The service tech said the burner will only work if I use a large cast iron skillet. I showed him the video on the Frigidaire website about the “auto-sizing” burners and he continued to tell me that there was nothing wrong. I am getting tired of this. I’ll post updates as to whether or not this issue gets fixed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Could use more control at lower cooking levels I've been using this range for a little over a month now. The induction cooktop is as expected. Preheats cookware quickly. Response to setting changes is immediate which is pretty cool compared to my old radiant electric cooktop. My only complaint about the cooktop is that, even on the lowest setting (one up from "keep warm"), a low simmer is almost impossible as stuff will still vigorously boil. Maybe it depends on the responsiveness of some particular cookware to the electromagnetic energy but I wish I had some lower settings between "2" and "keep warm". The oven takes an eternity to preheat but maintains its temperature well. The "quick bake" function seems to work like a convection oven but they don't quite call it that. The first time I turned the oven on I got a rather loud buzzing sound from the control panel. Having a background in electrical engineering, I did the first thing any engineer would do... I smacked it hard on the top of the panel. The buzzing went away and hasn't returned yet, so that's a win. Like other reviewers have noted, the racks and the lower drawer seem flimsy and very lightweight. Seeing as all the other brands of induction ranges start about a thousand dollars higher than this one, I can deal with it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mostly happy with stove We bought this just short of 60 days ago, and other matching appliances from the Gallery line. We were a little hesitant to go to induction, but decided to jump in anyway, new cookware, etc. We are very happy with the cooking performance of this range. That being said, what we are not happy with is the same problem that seems to be affecting others. We keep getting random F40 errors, at very odd times, last night it was well after midnight, which is now just annoying. I'm almost at the point where we might have to flip the breaker each night for the range just so we can sleep through the night. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything Cooks Perfectly This induction range is by far the best range I've owned. It cooks everything evenly. Water boils in minutes. It also saves time in the kitchen. No overcooked food or sticking, thus fast cleanup after dinner too. The controls and preheating are easy to set. Best of all, we love the unique safety feature built into the induction stove, which was our primary reason for having purchased this range. The burners immediately cool down, when cookware is taken off the burner. Would recommend this product to anyone shopping for an upgraded range, especially families with small children. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Quick bake is not convection, as advertised Bought less than a month ago. The good point. Love the induction cook top. The bad part. One burner didn’t work correctly. The cause was 2 wires that were cut about 1/2 way through. Frigidaire would need to ship the part and the time to get it was unknown. Anywhere from several days to 4 weeks, or longer. The worst part, the oven has a fan that is advertised as convection baking so that the heat is more evenly disbursed. My casserole was burnt on the front edge. Frigidaire’s response? Turn your dish during cooking. This range is going back and I’m getting a different brand. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Joy in the kitchen This is a very nice modern range with lots of bells and whistles for the price range. I love everything about this baby thus far. My favorite thing has to be the induction cooking. My food cooks evenly and faster than ever before. I made spaghetti and meatballs last night. It was such a pleasant experience. Cleanup was a breeze and I am a happy chef. Buy today!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great induction for price! I bought this oven about a month ago and I really am enjoying working with it! I had worked with induction burners as a professional cook for the past three years and I knew this is what I wanted in my home. The oven works very well but I wish it had more than two racks. I also wish that I had a smudge proof top! The good news is that it is easy to clean. I found the instruction manual to be very clear and easy to read. The only thing I haven't tried as yet are the self cleaning functions [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Appropriately priced I am coming from a home with a Bosch drop-in induction top. Bosch's range is twice the price of this one, and I would have paid it to continue using Bosch, but it is too large for the space I have to fill. This stove fits the space, but it has half of the control of the Bosch (only 11 heat settings instead of 21), and this one does not include things like timers for each burner. The convection is nice. The storage drawer is very poorly made and flimsy as a result. I recommend this only when other options aren't available. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Received a damaged unit I bought this on Black Friday and it was delivered shortly after. I immediately noticed there was something wrong with it. One of the legs was bent and extending the leg to balance it was extremely hard. When turning it on there was a loud buzzing that caused the entire control panel to vibrate. I eventually determined the cooling fan was vibrating the back panel, which was warped and missing screws. I'm not sure how a brand new range is missing parts and damage unless it was refurbished (poorly) and then resold as new. I returned it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from KEEP YOUR OVEN RACKS The oven racks that come with this model are SO flimsy, they bow under the weight of a cast iron dutch oven. I wish I had kept my oven racks from my old oven, I cannot even find a way to buy replacements that would be sturdier. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great except 2 things, neither is a stopper This is a great unit. Water boils incredibly fast, cooking temperatures are really precise, wish we had moved to induction much earlier, this is so much better than conventional electric or gas. Warning: Just make sure your pots and pans are induction compatible by testing them with a magnet on the bottom. If the magnet sticks they should work. Stupidity: Sadly like every other appliance, there is no battery to hold time or settings through the briefest power flicker even though my $6 alarm clock can do it. I have owned this for right at 4 months so far. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Learning curve but loving induction! I purchased my new induction range because I missed the rapid response of my previous gas range. When we moved gas was not available. The speed with which this range heats has taught me not to turn away for even a minute! Bringing a pot of water to a boil happens faster than I could have ever imagined. The only drawback is how awkward it is to clean the back wall of the oven which gets a buildup of spatters and causes smoking at high temperatures. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow I've been wanting an induction cooktop for years. Finally Frigidaire is the only manufacturer to bring one to market that is affordable and practical. Looks great and is easy to use. I don't know why everyone only touts boiling water faster with induction, there's so much more you can do with it to cook BETTER not simply faster. Try making that sauce you that used to break on you all the time on a conventional cooktop! It even has a convection oven. I only wish they had made one with the Air-Fry oven on non-induction models. I love my family's smiles whenever I show something it can do. Oh yeh , my wife thinks I'm a hero now. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Appliance This induction stove did everything I hoped for, and more. I am forced to have a stove a little closer to my refrigerator than I’d like. My prior stovetop gave off too much heat, and began to warp the side of my new fridge. This induction range immediately fixed that problem. It boils water extremely fast as well. I also love the Quick Bake feature for meals I prepare in the oven. Also looks great. The black stainless steel is really nice. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn’t work as Advertised This induction range was one of 4 Frigidaire Gallery appliances purchased in Dec. 2017. Two of them didn’t work right (50% failure rate) which in my opinion shows abysmal quality. After 9 service calls one was fixed, they couldn't fix the other and they now say there’s no identifiable problem and refuse to do any more. They fired me rather than fix the problem. The ongoing problem is with the induction range. The auto sizing feature on the right front element, or zone, doesn’t work (it’ll heat a humongous pot but not a reasonably sized pot as shown in their marketing literature). Frigidaire/Electrolux customer service assures me that the “Auto Sizing” of the zone should allow me to use a large, medium or small pot. The Factory Tech support doesn’t believe their own marketing dept. and says my range is working as designed, “that zone is for large pots only” ( in which case the advertising is a LIE ) . The two departments of Frigidaire/Electrolux are not singing from the same sheet. The result is a field repairman calls tech support and get’s a misinformed answer. TOTAL CHAOS! STAY AWAY!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great looking and functioning over We purchased our over about a month ago. After reading some reviews online, I was a bit nervous (some mentions of a faulty beeping or something). We have had no such issues and have zero complaints. It works great and am amazed at how fast the induction pans heat up and how the stove top does not get burning hot and cools down quite fast. I had accidentally left a plastic bag on the stove top after cooking and it did not melt. Cleanup is easy so far and we havent had any sticky/difficult burns. We purchased the Barkeepers Best Friend Cooktop cleaner. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product! Wow! The Induction Range is great!! Replacing the on/off knobs with "easy" touch pads, pre-sized burners; no coils, burners heat with wires that only heats the surface being used! So, the areas surrounding it remain cool! It's instant heat!! And when turned-off, immediately, cools down!! Bbottom-ine is our food cooks faster and tastes better!! The convection oven has a fan to get the heat circulated quickly and evenly, cooking our food faster!! We love all of this plus the sleek easy clean design!! A perfect Christmas gift given to ourselves!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Loud and faulty Our range is 8 months old and we've had to have it serviced twice. Two of the most frequented elements can not bring water to a boil. When the range is working it's great - all the features they sell you on are true - boils water in record time; easy to keep the service clean etc, but that only happens when things are functioning properly which has not been the case for us. The oven can also be really loud. A quick hip check will quiet it to something more manageable, but the thing literally yells at us some times. It's a fine product as 2 of the 4 ranges haven't given us trouble; but we paid for all of them to work. (and yes, we are using brand new, induction appropriate cookware)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good. Range works as expected. Have seen the infamous F40 code one time in first week of use. Just hope that was a fluke. Induction is a great choice if you don't have natural gas available. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super quick heat and great responsiveness. I've only had this stove for about two months but so far it's been excellent. The burners heat water and food amazingly quickly - and, when I turn the heat up or down the change is instant. I have always used gas stoves and was reluctant to give up the instant heat change possible with gas - but the induction stove is great for that. The stovetop is attractive and easy to clean. The convection oven is terrific, giving quicker bake times and the convection does a nice job on roasted vegetables or anything that's wants to be crispy around the edges. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Problems from day one Error F40 flashes and beeps continuously until a button is pressed, usually every time we use it, but sometimes while we're out, or at 3 in the morning. When the timer is used, the cooktop controls tend to stop working. This is right out of the box. Unfortunately after researching the cause of "F40", I found dozens and dozens of other complaints about this same issue. Obviously it's not a quality product if they let well known issues like this out of the factory.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Advertised with completely false information I made my selection of the stove after very careful consideration of all of its features as compared to the others manufacturers. The front left burner is where I do 90 percent of my one pan cooking but now I can not use it at all for the same reasons as the other two one star reviews stated. Pan has to cover entire unit to work. From the manual for this range:Induction cooking zones require a minimum pan size in order to activate. The inner ring on each cooking zone indicates the smallest pan size. FALSE tech told me must cover entire unit to work. From this website.... pictures of front right burner being used on all sorts of smaller sizes FALSE tech told me it s not like that From This Website:Auto Sizing Pan Detection Make fluffy pancakes with ease using Auto Sizing™ Pan Detection that automatically senses the size of your pan to only sends heat to whatever small, medium, or large pan you are using.(This statement used the image of a pan covering the inner ring of front right burner) FALSE Tech told me it will not work like that and must be fully covered by pan. I am so beside myself I completely reviewed all features and made my purchase on completely misleading and false information. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Getting used to the induction cooking I think we will eventually like this but a few warnings are needed. First we had to buy many new cooking pans and skillets. The old aluminum ones do not work until you buy an ‘adapter’ made of stainless steel. Works fairly well but has significant heat loss as you might expect. The burners seem to only start in the high position when turned on. This is annoying as we keep having to push buttons many times to get down the 3 or 4 where we cook most frequently. The worst characteristic is the incredibly flimsy bottom storage compartment. Needs to be built heavier and have a solid track. At this point it is so bad we have decided not to put anything in there. We miss our old white topped smooth surface range. The black ones are vastly more troubleb to keep clean. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Induction great. Display not so much. We chose this unit as a warranty replacement for our damaged Electrolux Dual-Fuel, since they no longer make that model. We're new to, and very happy with, induction cooking. The oven has fewer options than the Electrolux, but we didn't use many of those anyway. My only critique pertains to the control panel design. I think the on/off and power adjustment button design is clunky and not very intuitive. Also, it is basically impossible to see the indicator lights (burner on, hot surface) for anyone over 5 ft tall. I'm 6'-3". Odd design flaw - I'd think it wouldn't have made it through testing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does Not operate Bought the range to upgrade to induction and convection cooking. Brought it home on Sunday and installed it. Went to turn on the oven Tuesday night to make dinner and it does not heat up. Fan turns on but oven does not heat. Tried to use the induction cook top and upon turning it on the range keeps beeping and all burner indicators light up. One is an E. one is 1 and the other two read 2. I can't cook as the oven does not work. Glad I also bought a frigidaire professional microwave with convection cooking so I could make dinner. Now waiting for a repair person. I guess I thought a new appliance should work. Very disappointed. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Old School Cooking Just Got Better I bought this induction range specifically to use with my vintage cast iron cookware. From dutch ovens, to skillets and griddles, this cooktop is the perfect match. It heats up quickly and evenly and I can control temperatures precisely for any type of dish I am cooking. From frying to sautéing to stewing or whatever it is so much better than my old ceramic cooktop. The oven works well too and all the controls are easy to operate. So far I am cooking up a storm and enjoying it more. Highly recommend this range, and it was priced right. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Induction It took several months to finally get this delivered but it was worth the wait. I had a very nice gas range before but my wife has issues clearing toxins and the gas fumes are not good for her. This induction range is awesome for several reasons. 1) cleaning is a BREEZE...so much easier than the gas range. 2) I have oatmeal in the morning and it boils a cup of water in 34 seconds. COLD out of the fridge filter to raging boil in 34 seconds...blown away. 3) the timer is excellent. I love that it keeps beeping until you acknowledge it. Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best I ever have. I bought this to replace my old coil range. The induction cook top was the one that catches my attention since it is safer, energy saver, fast and on top of that, of course the convection oven which cooks efficiently and fast. The design of the range is beautiful and matches my kitchen perfectly. Cleaning is easy since it cools down so quickly. Happy buyer here. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not impressed with quality I have owned this stove for an hour and I am totally regretting my choice. It’s very poorly made. The display control is flimsy it moves when I press the buttons. The induction feature is very loud. It sounds like an airplane taking off. And the bottom drawer is essentially useless. It doesn’t even slide smoothly in and out when it’s empty. And it’s beyond flimsy!
