Right size
This was fairly easy to put together. I did it alone and it took an hour or so but I was not in a rush. I can move it myself but it’s really easy with another person. I broke it in (directions say don’t ever use lighter fluid in this Smoker or match light charcoal) and then we used it to Smoke a homemade Pizza. It worked great!! I like the separate door for the firebox and the way a small fire really heats it up efficiently. Looking forward to smoking some meat this weekend. I gave it four stars because It’s so light I wonder how long it will last. I plan to keep it under a roof when not in use.

Damaged & Returned
I bought this smoker for a Father's Day gift. It was an online only sale. The smoker was delivered on time and we were so excited to give this as a gift until my husband opened it and it was so damaged that we couldn't even use it. The frame was bent and dented all around the back side of the smoker. We had to bring it back and return it. We looked for another smoker but there was nothing in-store that my husband liked around the same price tag as the online sale. We ended up going to a competitor and purchasing a different smoker for A LOT cheaper and they threw in the coals and chimney.

Good unit but needs a small mod to make it great!
Unit came is well packed boxes and putting it together was a breeze. Item is very well constructed in my opinion for the price. The unit is easy to use but temperature is tricky to maintain as it is the charcoal version. This is not a unit issue...just how charcoal works. The mod I talk about in the title is the sealing of the doors with a heat resistant tape so no smoke escapes from the door area. These are easy to find online on lowes or other places and easy to put on. Overall the smoker is very good and smokes things well. It is easy to maintain as well. I bought this on sale.

the only issue is the gaps in the exhaust vent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good smoker for the $$, but the only issue with this model is the exhaust vent, before you assemble it to the smoker just take a look at it when the vent is closed all the way. The gaps in the exhaust vent are a issue, all the way closed is like 1/4 to 1/3 open. Also there is no water pan, only a wood chip smoker box that rests above the fire.

Tender meat all the time
I used my smoker twice already and it works great I found out that you can control your temperature better using wood chips apple, hickory etc. Then just using charcoal only.

Works great!
I received this last week and have used it twice over the weekend. Both the chicken and pork I smoked were delicious! I found the smoker very easy to use and clean up was also very easy.

Better than expected
Controlling the temperature is a bit tricky, but the smoker itself was heavier and better built than I expected. The racks are heavy, nicely plated (with nickel I think), and they slide in and out easily. Door hinges and latches are strong and straight. I have only used it once so far to make some beef jerky, and it turned out really well.

Learning to smoke
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very intimidated to stay smoking food because I didn't know anything about it. After reading some reviews I decided to give this smoker a try and I'm glad this is the one I chose. I've had nothing but success from the first time which was two - 9 pound pork shoulders and three racks of ribs. Since then I've repeated that same amount twice and it just keeps getting better. It was also very easy to put together. I think it took about 15-20 minutes. The only improvement I can think of for this is the wood chip box. After being heated so much it warped a little but just enough to make it difficult to put on the racks that hold it. I suggest widening the tabs that sit in the racks just a half an inch or making the racks come out a little. That would make it much easier to get in. It still works however and I standby my 5 star rating of this product!
