Rated 5 out of 5 by Gearhead-Retired from Had to replace and old heater. Bought this one to replace a heater that I've had for many years, that finally bit the dust. The new one is quiter than the old one with the same BTU output. The fumes are less with the new one, even if you burn diesel fuel instead of #1 kerosene. The savings in fuel cost ( diesel Vs. keorsene) over time will go a long way to pay for this new one. I'm very pleased with this heater. I do wish it had a built in thermostat, If this one lasts as long as the old one did, I couldn't be happier.

I like that it is multi fuel. I put on a cord thermostat, works great and saves a ton of fuel. The only thing I don't like is that it smells even with kerosene.

It still works, but when it's about 40 in the house, we have to turn the thermostat up to almost 90 to get it to kick on. Or it will read it's 65 in the house when it's cold enough to see your breath standing right next to the heater.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Janay614 from Best Gift I purchased thus far I just ordered my kerosene heater about 1 week ago the shipping time was great and it cost was reasonable ocean of received it is started using it right away and this is thus far the best purchased I've purchased 4 heating when working outdoors it has 14 hours or run time and automatic shutoff when not in use it comes with a great warranty and it's features are a plus I guarantee if you purchase this item you won't be disappointed.

It is louder.. it smells when you shut it down as the ignition cuts right off but motor pump "idles down" obviously still causing fuel to spit on hot end cap. If it runs empty. It causes a big fog of fuel mist that REALLY stinks! Don't let it run out! So, it's "good" but not improved over old reddy heaters unfortunately.

I like the thermostat being built in. Normally that an accessory that cost extra and functions out side the unit. I hope to get several years out of this. Time will tell but cost isn't terrible in any event.

Just fill with fuel position and turn switch on. Only time I really notice any fumes or smell is when I turn the heater off. Seems well built and hope it lasts. Nice heater and good price.

Since the heater is small and portable you can apply the forced hot air heat to the particular work area. I also made a small dolly to easily wheel the heater around when it is full of fuel. Very pleased with the heater so far.
