Diamond Grit Hole Saw -1/4" is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 54.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked Great I was using this bit to drill through 3/8'' thick porcelain tile. It worked great and went through the tile very easily. To keep it from wanting to walk across the tile, I suggest getting a piece of wood 1/4'' thick or so and drilling the same diameter size hole though the wood with a standard drill bit and using the wood as a template so the bit will stay seated where you need the hole to be. Once I drilled through just the surface of the tile, I was able to remove the wood and spray water on the tile to keep it from heating up too much. I like that the bit has an open shaft so that it will spit the core out and you aren't left trying to dig/break out the core.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LENOX 1/4-in Diamond Hole Saw This worked great. I tried first to drill through porcelain tile with a masonry bit and it took about 30 Minutes a hole! Then switched to the spear shaped glass cutting bits. Same result. This bit still took about 5 minutes but way better. Found it helped to dip in water and keep the hole wet. Also be careful on starting on tile. Need to tilt and grind an edge before straightening and using horizontally. Picture on package shows this. This was a life saver! I bought two thinking it would wear out but used only one for about 10 holes. You do need to clean out the bit between holes. I used a narrow nail to push out the debris from cutting. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable glass drill I appreciated this drill keeping its bite. I've used other diamond drills that wear the diamond off almost as fast as you use them. This one Still has it after repeat uses on glass. The only challenge was getting it to stay in place when using a hand held drill. I recommend using a jig to center and hold the drill bit in one place when starting a hole, or invest in a drill press. This bit has a side discharge for product that I had to stop and clean out whenever it clogged. Good tool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Diamond Hole Saw We recently upgraded our shower from an acrylic stall shower to one lined with tile. We also installed a hand held Delta shower head on a sliding bar. The installation of the bar requires the drilling of four 1/4 inch holes through the tile. The carbide bit which I had purchased was just barley able to penetrate the surface of the tile. This diamond hole saw made the drilling of the holes possible. I am convinced that I would not have been able to mount his bar with out this hole saw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for porcelain I just drilled 10 holes through 3/8" porcelain tile. This bit was like a knife through butter. I started with a carbide bit and couldn't hardly break the surface no matter how wet I kept it. I had one hole that was about 1/2" from the edge of the tile and I thought for sure the tile would crack. It didn't! Ten holes. This is great drill bit for porcelain. And pretty reasonably priced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from cutting holes in glass I have been using some modern large format glass tiles for some floors and walls, i have been having some difficulty working with the glass: special saw blades, special adhesive, and well for drilling holes i needed a special drill bit after trying a few this has been the best one i have used! make sure to keep it wet and as soon as it dries up get it wet again, this does two things provides a cooling for the bit and glass as well as helping move the dust out of the way so the diamonds can do there work...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding product. Did the job indeed..... Tried every thing ti cut through thick ceramic tile. This puppy did the job I needed to be done. A bit pricey, but was the only tool that could get the job done. I will return to Lowes and purchase the entire set. I'm sure I will need this item again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for cutting granite I wanted to drill 2 1/4" holes in 30cm thick granite. Tungsten carbide bits hardly touched it. This drill bit cut through the granite like butter. One must, however, keep the bit wet. I use a spray bottle of water. Also one can use a small dam of clay or putty around the hole area and fill it with water. If one does not keep the bit cooled the metal holding the diamonds will heat sufficiently to fail to hold them. For me it did the job perfectly and quickly.
