Reciprocating Saw - 1 1/8" - 12 A is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from This saw is all you need I bought this saw to make cut outs to fit windows for a cabin. It cut through the boards and plywood like butter. I made it work hard even more by cutting numerous maple wood skids for a bonfire. This saw didnt slow down. The saw fits into two slots allowing you to cut in one of four directions. Change a blade in seconds and doesn't need a tool just pull a lever to release the blade in the saw. Best saw I've bought. There are lots of fan blades allowing a lot of air to cool this tool while in use. Worth the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product This tool is very useful. It made projects impossible without it. I was able to cut into a board without going through an edge. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works a charm! Bought this to cut a steel propane tank. Good blades and some 3-in-one oil: this thing ate through 3/16 steel like it was pine. Very happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy Design Bought this product a couple weeks ago and have loved it since. The price is great for the quality plus USA manufactured is a great selling point to me. I like being able to position the blade on either side too, since it is a corded tool this helps with mobility for odd cuts. The only downside is it is a little heavy but all in all i still say this beats out any other corded sawzall I've used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MY NEW FAVORITE TOY/TOOL I have never written a tool review, but I am taking on a large DIY remodel project and decided I needed a reciprocating saw. I own a few DeWalt brand tools, among others, so I’m aware of the quality. But WOW was I surprised by the power, ease and precision of this saw! I only regret not adding this to my workbench arsenal earlier.

From breaking various metal/wood things down to trimming the ends of heart pine beams which is a real torture test this saw has been great. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not impressed! I bought this after the harbor freight type gave out after 4 yrs . This has kept on going but the performance of it is not good. It will take forever to cut into thin medal like exahust pipe. The harbor freight product did not last long but did perform great compared to dewalts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great features, smooth running I've had this awhile and not used it ,so one day I needed one and I picked it up and used it. I've used others but this one was the smoothest running I've ever used. cuts good and has different positions for the blade. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well designed saw I have had this saw for about a year. The ease of use especially with blade positions being able to adjust by 90 degrees, makes it very useful. Well done [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice saw will do the job but was dissapointed I recently revived this item as a gift, it's a beautiful saw and will do the job but I am very dissapointed with DeWalt with a few things in regards to their DeWalt DWE305 saw, I'll make a short list of the pro's and con's. Keep in mind DeWalt also has stopped providing cases and contractor bags with this saw so it's going to get pretty beat up while transfering it from one site to the next. Pro's- 1) It is a beautiful saw as it is a DeWalt product and it's made in the USA with global material. 2) The 4 way blade is a nice feature meaning you don't have to hold the saw in different angles in order to make cuts along seams and you can hold it upright in a normal position while making horizontal and vertical cuts. 3)It's is a 12amp saw which should provide plenty of power to the average DIY worker. Cons- 1) The saw is pretty old technology, which I mean is it is just your basic entry level saw it cuts back and forth in a in and out motion. The saw DOES NOT have the NEW ORBITAL Technology so it will take longer to cut and you will have to press just alittle bit harder causing earlier wear on blades. For $10 more or sometimes the SAME price you can purchase the new style 12amp with the orbital features if you shop around and do some reasearch. 2) The saw DOES NOT have an adjustable shoe to help assist you in making shallow or med depth cuts which helps when doing repair work in drywall or on objects with wires or other material hiding behind. With an adjustable shoe you can prolong the life of your blade and use the top/middle and bottom of your blade getting your full money's worth of cuts from a $4 to $10 blade. The new 12amp style does allow you to do what I have mentioned again for a very similar price but be sure to shop around. 3) The saw only has speed control by pressure on the trigger where others have both a dial to fine tune your speed PLUS speed control on the trigger. 4) This saw DOES NOT have antivibration control. I know this is a harsh review but what REALLY irritated me the most was the fact that DeWalt charges a good buck for this saw and it used to be worth it and they CHEAP OUT and DO NOT provide a case or even a contractors bag to help protect your new investment when it's in the back of your work truck/van, I don't enjoy laying my tools down in dirt when working outside try to keep the internals clean to provide a longer life and they do not provide you with a place to store them to keep the from sliding around in with traveling from site to site. I don't want to be putting a filthy tool inside my cab of the truck either so a bag would be better then nothing. To purchase a bag/case it will cost between $40 to $80 on top of the price of the saw which lacks too many features where the newer 12amp and 13amp saws both come with the new features and cases/bags and are not much more money to purchase once you add on the price of bag and saw. If you don't care and don't mind oldwe technology and doing care if you lay it on dirt or if it slaps around in the back of your work truck then this is a good buy. I think they should drop the price considering the only really good feature the saw has is a 4 way blade, but keep in mind you can make ANY SAW have a 4 way blade with the simple turn of your wrists!!
