Jigsaw - Top Handle - 6.5 A is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 60.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cuts Ply Like Butter This is the most powerful motor in the Dewalt Jig lineup. I work mainly with veneer core plywood for home furniture projects, so I wanted a powerful saw that plywood gave little resistance to, meaning no splintering as I cut. in a practical sense, this is important because my blood pressure stays at a healthy level when my $96 a sheet plywood has smooth edges and no splinters. Spend the $30 extra and get this over less powerful jigs, it's worth it. The body is built so that the weight of the saw is over the cut, so there is less pull, which is nice for control. Also, buy the right kind of blades for what you're cutting. Great saw!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Power I just picked this up and tried it out on a 2 inch thick pressure treated lumber. I was very impressed with the ease of use and obvious power this tool provides. I was so pleased with the handling that I asked my wife to give it a try and she cut the wood even cleaner than I did! I had been waiting for a discount on this for some time now and jumped at the opportunity when I saw the price go down a little. Patience does pay off as I will be using this to cut out notches in the deck for my downspouts. This should prove easier to do with those smaller cuts . As a side note, the carrying case has a nice little area for the blade case. Very satisfied!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bosch vs DeWalt ... DeWalt won! My search for a jig saw was easy. Bosch or DeWalt. I really liked the look of the Bosch and the Keyless release feature. But the bottom line was that DeWalt was lighter and ergonomically better. It felt like you had better control over the tool. Although the Bosch was a very nice jig saw, it seemed heavy and with the hand grip on the top of the tool it made it seem like it would be difficult to maneuver through a cut. It's rare to have two brands of tools be so close in features and value. I used the DeWalt the same day I purchased it and was pleased with my choice. Just in case a Bosch Marketing Guy is reading this, I am a huge fan of Bosch tools and have several key pieces for the job site so don't be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid, Easy to use, Dependable. As a Contractor I use this saw every day. I also have employees that use this same saw daily. I is one of the most well built, balanced saw I and my crews have ever used. The power and ease of use will astonish even the most discerning of users. The cost is in line with the quality and design of a commercial saw. This saw has paid for itself 20 times over and is still going strong. If you are a homeowner that only occasionally uses this type of a saw then the commercial quality may be cost prohibitive, but as a Contractor I know that you get what you pay for and I cannot afford to have my jobs delayed with a lessor saw failing and leaving my people standing around waiting for another saw to arrive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Has everything you need in a saw except... I had a DW321 and wanted an upgrade so I purchased the DW331. Inserting the blade is a lot easier/quicker and more secure. I also love the way the bevel shoe snaps into place at the correct angle. I am very disappointed in regards to the Anti-splinter devise. The plastic piece will NOT fit into the shoe as it states in the instructions. As a matter a fact, it broke right off when trying to put it on. : ( They need to come up with a better way of inserting that thin plastic piece in the shoe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Holy Cow what power! If you have a used a 4 amp or 5 amp saw before, this thing is going to give you chills. Put yourself a bosch blade in it and hold on. On it's fastest speed with the blade set to "orbit" it will cut through 3/4 maple plywood like hot butter. Great base with plastic cover so no black marks. Also tilting base is accurate enought and dust port and blower is a nice feature. I can't describe the power of this thing, but if you buy it you will not be disapointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! I just bought this to cut out some plywood for cornices I'm making for my windows. My last jigsaw was a low end type and I hated using it because it bounced all over the place. This Dewalt cost more but boy does it ever give a smooth cut. I was also impressed that it came in a hard case as I'm a neat freak when it comes to my tools. I was only disappointed it did not come with a blade. This baby will be getting a lot of use from me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Dewalt Jigsaw Ok, i read all the bad reviews like always. I did my homework. Every bad review commented that the blades fall out, did not cut staight etc..Some were even by people who worked with wood for a living. I didnt know what to think, I read the reviews for ever brand. They all said the same thing. So i bought the Dewalt for the name. I love it, I dont work with wood for a living but I do all my own work from the cabin I’m building to my own home repairs, to projects for fun. The saw cuts as straight as THE USER. The tool performes perfectly and the blades havent fallen out yet and my cuts were clean, as straight as I kept the saw and true. The ONLY reason i gave it two stars is so someone reading the bad reviews for research would hopefully read my review and form their own opinion. Its worth the name and its well worth the price!
