Bargain!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this impact driver after watching VCG Construction do a Youtube review. Now I already have a Milwaukee M12 Fuel Gen 2 impact driver that I like a lot. But this thing coming in a full kit w/ 2 batteries and charger for less than half as much?!? The Milwaukee has more fine tuned features, but the Dewalt is ergonomically superior, and more pleasant to use. If you aren’t locked into a brand because of batteries and chargers, I’d recommend the This Dewalt. Pains me to say it, but there it is.

This Impact has the features and power you need.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Impact performed amazing. I used it on a few projects it preformed above my excpectations. It has the power to drive screws, drill holes. The compact size and light weight makes it great for tight areas like under cabinets. The Precision Drive feature insured the fasteners were not over tightened. The placement of the mode switch on top of the impact is a home run. You just look down to see what mode your in. No more looking under your hand to see what mode your in. The light is by far the best as it has more than one LED. The fit and finish is excellent. This impact exceeded my expectations.

Power in a small package.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Switched my 20v for this 12v in my tool bag and so far it’s been great. Working in HVAC I don’t need the most powerful drill in the world but I hardly feel I lost any power when screwing 5/16” self tappers into any metal besides metal joists. In my case, the weight difference greatly makes up for the power difference. Size wise they’re pretty close as far as how tall they are but the 12v is narrower. If you’re going to be constantly drilling with spade bits or having to go through thick material I would go with the 20v but for air conditioning installs and service this new 12v has performed magnificently.

Nice Start!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] after using this product for several weeks, I was pretty pleased with the battery life with those tiny 12v batteries, I expected much less! I'm sure those will be expanded in time, I felt power is adequate for a compact driver. I also really liked the lightweightness of the tool. Now the negative, I was very disappointed that its the nearly the same depth as the big brother DCF887, when trying to get into areas where my larger driver was tight, this wasnt any better, I would like to see a version of this tool thats 1" - 1 1/2" slimmer, I'll attach a photo to show what I mean

Perfect for homeowner/DIY
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Don't be fooled by small size, weight, and price (purchased for $99). This has plenty of power to screw drywall screws into 2x4's. The clutch is perfect for assembling furniture kits since it allows you to dial down the power and not over tighten screws in MDF. Batteries also seem to last a long time...and you get two of them. Really glad I got this to supplement my other 'overpowered' and relatively heavy 20v tools.

Strong and quiet!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this tool once it came out. I’m a sparky and I keep the 12v impact in my bags all the times. This new style replaced my old frame style 12v impact, the features on this new impact are pretty sweet, you have a low speed you can use for tapping, and a pulse setting to play with if need be and then the high setting.
The biggest change from this new model compared to the old is how quiet this new one is, the last one rattled my ears off and would turn heads in a commercial building, this new one is quiet and smooth. Another plus is the led indicators on the battery. Not a huge thing but super nice. It’s a must have in my opinion

Perfect for general DIY needs
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this product after being tired of my 18v Skil drill constantly dying after using it for an hour or so. Whether it was taking down curtains, installing blinds, or hanging art, the drill never seemed to keep up. Enter this impact driver. I purchased this in preparation of buying a home and all of the general things that need to be removed, fixed, or put together. This has handled the odd screw that wont drive in or come out or your general hanging of blinds, etc.
At time of purchase, battery came pre-charged, and put it on the charger before a day of adding/removing things all over the new house. It has handled two weeks of constant work without needing a charge. The battery has lasted so long it makes me wonder if the bits I bought separately might not last as long as this battery!
What I love is that it is light, the LEDs illuminate things incredibly well, and my spouse can use this with no issues. So, if you are looking for something to put together furniture, drive in screws into a door frame for a new door deadbolt, driving in construction screws for updating shoddy work that came before you then I highly recommend it. I am not a contractor, just a weekend warrior fixing things. Time will tell on how long it lasts and how much I love it but, for right now, I love it.
