Worst product ever!
I am a professional contractor and decided to try this product for a job with one of my clients... what a mistake! I would normally use drywall compound to fill in cracks, as it historically is the way to go... I saw this on the shelf, and usually Dap makes good products, so I thought I'd give it a try... I certainly won't be doing that again.
The claim of "won't shrink or crack" - BOGUS - after the first coat dried overnight (and yes, I do know how to apply it) the product shrank and the cracks (small - 2- 3 mm originally) were still visible and clearly still there and when the surface was rubbed by hand, could be felt. So, a second coat was applied and left to dry overnight again... the cracks were still there. I ended up skim coating the entire area using 20 minute drywall compound and the cracks disappeared. If you have to do any sanding - forget it! The polymers in this make it virtually impossible to sand. Normally, I don't review products online, but this one is so bad, that I felt obligated to so others don't fall for the great claims made on the container. Usually Dap makes decent products - I've used other products for years successfully but this time they missed the mark big time and should label it as "CR*P" instead of "DAP". Marketing department: 1 - Contractor: 0. The old saying is so true on this one : "If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably isn't" - lesson learned.
