Description

Ensure your lawn looks beautifully manicured with this Cub Cadet gas lawn mower. The push lawn mower features a 173 CC Kohler OHV engine for powerful performance. It has a 21" Signature Cut(TM) deck that resists clogging, and it offers rear dust-blocking bag, mulching and side discharge options to suit your preference. The 6-position dual-lever wheel adjusters let you easily change cutting height from 1 1/4" to 3 3/4". It starts easily thanks to the recoil start with SmartChoke, and 8" front wheels and 11" rear wheels deliver great mobility. The solid front and rear axles provide smooth rolling and straighter alignment. The over-molded bail handles provide comfortable operation, and the SmartJet(TM) high-pressure deck washing system makes clean-up a breeze.

The answer to this question is becoming more difficult to answer as many manufacturers of small engines such as those for walk behind lawn mowers are moving away from a horsepower rating on their engines to an industry standard Gross Torque rating expressed in ft. lbs.  The Club Cadet rating is 7.75 ft. Lbs. - the higher the better - i.e. more powerful. The club cadet XT 775 has used a Kohler 173 cc engine.  There is no hp rating for that unit on the Kohler site.

unleaded gas?

Thank you for your question. Use fresh unleaded gasoline, minimum 87 octane. Fuel containing no ethanol is preferable for all air cooled engines, consider using higher octane grades that do not have ethanol added. If the fuel will not be consumed within 30 days, add a quality fuel stabilizer such as Sta-bil or Star-tron to the gas can before filling.

Just purchased push mower, used it for the first time, worked great. However, when I went to turn off mower, letting handle go, mower would not shut off, eventually I had to take cover off spark plug, what's going on?

Thank you for your question. Releasing the safety bail on the upper handle should stop the engine and blade very quickly. If this safety feature is not functioning properly please visit any of our authorized warranty dealers to have this remedied right away. Searching a lot about the enumerous brands and kinds of lawnmower are available on the market . I decided to buy this one , first cause looks solid , for the 3 years of warranty,and the big wheels in the rear helps if you have to move from the backyard to the front yard. Follow the instructions, the only hard , not so hard , was to install the bag on the frame , add the oil, premium gas , first pull worked like a charm . I paid $349.00 was worth it the money

Rated 1 out of 5 by Ming from Extremely disappointed. I purchased this mower on Oct 9, 2019, and used it once. In the spring of 2020, the mower could not start. I had to pay $84.75 get it to work although they claim it is covered by warranty.
