good product without battery problems
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The only problem is going through line faster. After that, make sure battery is fully in the charger. Those who took the weed eater back because of the battery are missing out on a descent weed eater. You have hi and lo settings to cut with. You do not need full speed to trim. I found that out with our old echo 25cc gas trimmer. It doesn't matter if gas or cordless, less power will take care of edging and trimming needs. This will cut though some thick weeds and corn stalks the squirrels have planted in back yard. This is a lighter and noise is less. The size is great for smaller, 85 year old father.

I love it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is amazing and I'm glad I gave it a try! It is powerful, lightweight and gets the job done. The battery charges quickly and lasted for both the front and back trimming. When I was done I checked the meter on the back and it still had 2/3 battery left. I definitely would recommend not only this trimmer but the other 20V craftsman products. I picked up a drill, impact driver, and circular saw after I seen the quality of this product. Craftsman definitely has set the bar high again as they once did in the past. Give this brand and line of tools a chance again. You won't be disappointed.

Replace for my B&D GrassHog
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old B&D GrassHog kicked the bucket after 7 good years of use. So I looked around and saw this Craftsman. I've had it for a month now and am impressed with it. Fairly light weight and enough power for my needs. I have a large corner lot and use the tool one day for trimming, another day for edging. After 4 uses I have yet to replace the spool of cutting line. The only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars is that you need a pretty good squeeze of the trigger to keep it powered. Can occasionally cause hand stiffness. I would recommend this tool and am pleased with my purchase.

Perfect for my needs
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced my old, worn out, 11" corded trimmer with this battery operated Craftsman 13" trimmer.. and I am really happy that I did; not only is it lighter but it was getting old having to get the extension cord out after mowing, hook it up to an exterior outlets (several times to get to all the corners), constantly untangle the cord and often even tripping over it. Trimming my yard used to take me about 45 minutes, but now I can be done in about 15 minutes.. more time to spend with the grand kids.. Hallelujah!. - Very satisfied and a happy customer from O'Fallon, IL.

Excellent product
I bought this weedwhacker not really sure of battery powered equipment, but i couldn't be more pleased. Craftsman really thought of it all when they built this piece of equipment. From the easy extendable wire feed to the shortening of the entire shaft, to the easy flip edgeing. I have a 125ft by 60ft yard and even with the v12lithium/20v Ion btry. I still have plenty of battery left for trimming. Fast charging. I mean The list goes on. I definitely recommend getting one if you are tired with all the headache's that come with gas powered. Absolutely perfect, hassle free good job Craftsman on a excellent product.

Believe the reviews about poor battery
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a cordless electric trimmer for a modest home without a huge yard. A number of the reviews mentioned poor battery life, but I figured I would be fine. First time I used it (after fully charging) the battery died after completing half the job. I took it back the next day and bought the next model up Craftsman CMCST910M1. For only $20 more (on sale) I got a much better product. It has a slightly larger battery which lasts significantly longer, and the overall unit feels more solid and does a very good job.

I'm switching all outdoor equipment to battery!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to admit, I was skeptical at 1st, of all the battery operated lawn care equipment. However, with my back/shoulder/sciatica issues, I had to find something lighter and easier to start. Yanking on the pull cords to outside equip was killing me! Much less, the heaviness of them. This little monster is awesome. I bought it one evening, easily assembled it, charged it overnight, and was edging and weed eating the next morning. Living in Fl, I have a lot of landscaping to edge and weed eating. I breezed through it all!! Never the 1st issue. No soreness for me either!! Should have made this switch a long time ago! Anyone want to buy a gas weedeater? I have one to sell! Lol!!

Does the job
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I only have a .6 acre yard, in a new house, currently without foundation landscape plantings so the main thing I use my trimmer for is right next to the house where the mower cannot go, along the driveway and sidewalks, and around the utility boxes. It has plenty of power for tall grass and the battery charge lasts plenty long. The only thing I do not like about this model is the thick handle. It is simply uncomfortable after a while. I am a man with large hands yet the handle gives me carpel tunnel if I trim for too long at a time. The next model up had an extremely comfortable handle, but I simply couldn't justify the increased cost of a fancier trimmer for my small yard. Why is the handle on this so uncomfortable?
