Description

This Craftsman(R) blade was specifically designed for slicing through vinyl and paneling. The corrosion resistant coating helps prevent rusting and the precision ground teeth provide smooth, accurate cuts. The blade it comes with is a pretty good "Every cut" blade but for more detail work its good to have a few alternatives and this is one. Great for a multiple of materials including hardy board and vinyl.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BKL from Bought for cutting plastic [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After having watched an online video from Jon Eakes (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9OdJ0hdGug) on using a high-tooth-count Plywood (mounted with the slanted teeth backward) or a Vinyl Siding blade (with non-slanted teeth) handheld circular saw blade mounted in a miter saw designed to use a 10" or 12" blade which will reduce the effective speed of the 6-1/2" blade which will allow cutting plastic w/o chipping and melting the plastic. This blade has a 5/8" arbor which fits my cross-cut miter saw, so I bought it. Now, I just need to find time for my project.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Ardenn from Labeled wrong for circular saws [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Most reviewers seem to use this blade for wood, but I bought it for it's labeled purpose, which is cutting vinyl siding. It works real good for that in a circular saw, but there is one caveat... the rotational arrows printed on the blade are BACKWARDS. Put it in your circ saw as labeled, and it's like feeding siding into a wood chipper. Flip it over.
