Chain Saw Carrying Case - Orange is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 106.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from case nice accesory for the saw.can store everything you need in there. Does not come with the bar oil but has places for alot of things.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Chain saw Case This case is good for taking up space. The small chainsaw tools and books are kept in one place however the oil containers bounce around and only have an indent for where they belong. THe saw itself is only secured by a piece of velcro at one end around the handle while the working end floats in a scabbard that loosely fits to the box.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for your chain saw This is really a great case. I'm surprised more chain saw manufacturers aren't using this design. It's extremely roomy, holds everything you need for your chainsaw and makes storage a breeze.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Quality Control SNAFU Bought this case for my Stihl chainsaw. The original Stihl case was also plastic but the hinge is just a thinner gauge of plastic molded between the top and bottom of the case. The hinge broke but the Stihl cases only come in the irregular size and shape of the saw. The squared design and extra interior storage space of the Husqvarna case are what lead me to buy it. Assembly instructions are a joke but not needed, a 10 year old could figure it out. This case has the same thin molded plastic hinge that will be it's Achilles heel. The real kicker that got thru quality control is, the word HUSQVARNA on the bar scabbard is upside down when installed properly! Hahahaha! Have not decided yet if I will return it and get the Stihl case.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Saw Box Good product, does everything I need it to do. I cut about 7/8 cord of wood a year and strap the box down in my trailer. When I want to go cut, I just grab the saw box, gas and go.
Date published: 2012-01-11
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Overpriced As another reviewer said, the instructions are not easy to follow; I agree, and there is no mention of when to install the plastic hinge dowels. I had to undo a couple steps to insert the dowels. The plastic dowels also bend when the top is opened fully; I expect they will be the first parts to fail. The sheath is a bit of a bother. Wish my old “clamshell” carrier hadn’t failed after 30+ years. I just dropped the saw in, closed and latched it and went. Simple is beautiful. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not what I expected This carrying case is very cheap. The hinges and latch are very poorly designed. The blade cover does little to protect the bar from bending and (when properly installed) the Husquvarna logo is upside down. Im a huge fan of Husqvarna so it makes me unhappy to write about the poor quality of this case.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Holds everything This was the only case available at Lowe’s, and, being used to smaller cases, I was a little apprehensive. Then I got home and realized I could get just about everything I needed inside it. Quart of bar oil, two cans of Husky gas, scrench, files, extra plug, gloves, ear and eye protection, and my chaps! Oh yeah, and the saw too. I don’t use the saw on a regular basis so it’s nice to be able to keep everything together. It took me 10 minutes to assemble. Do the hinges first and it helped to have something to tap the pins through the them. I used some pruning shears because that’s what I had.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy it i love this carrying case. the only trouble is setting it up but it fits my chainsaw good. i HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone with a Chainsaw.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poor quality This is actually the first product I've ever returned anywhere for simply being poor quality. It was a pain to assemble. The plastic dowels that serve as hinges wouldn't go through the holes. I never did get the latches on. Once assembled the back corner wouldn't stay together. It kept coming apart so I decided to return it. It didn't seem like the case was going to hold the chain tightening tool either.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring a bigger hammer, and do the piano hinges first! ...cuz you're gonna need it. This thing requires a ton of force to assemble, because absolutely nothing fits together without being pounded into place. On the upside, it shows no scuffs after abusive assembly techniques have been applied. Point 2: completely ignore the assembly instructions. It is physically impossible to assemble this case if you follow their vague guidance. Point 3: assemble all of the piano hinges first - ALL! That's the trick to this entire exercise. Fail to do that, and it is not physically possible to drive them into place. Point 4: even though the instructions tell you to put the scabbard in place, DON'T DO IT. The only way to work with this is to put the scabbard on the saw, then drop the front panel of the case, put in the saw, and hammer the front panel back into place. Before you hammer in the hinges. After you've hammered in the piano hinges. Before you go out afterwards and get hammered. Question for Husky: why! why would you use plastic piano hinges on this? And if you were planning on using such garbage components, why would you design the hinges in such a way that they are filled with molding overflow and completely misalinged?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does Not Fit 372xp Description says it will fit up to a 576xp saw. My 372xp is tall enough that the lid wont close. Just barely fits in from handle to dog tips. Does not fit all saws it says it does. Now need to return it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from terrible quality control, be prepared with tools the basic design is good, putting this together took a utility knife, a drill and drill bits, and a flat blade screw driver. The instructions are poorly written and incomplete. The sides are supposed to attach via a plastic pin on the back and bottom popping through holes on the sides. The holes on the side pieces were closed up with plastic and needed to be cut open with a utility knife. The top and front have hinges which are not addressed in the assembly instructions. You need to put them together and insert the plastic hinge pin. However, the holes for the hinge pins were also closed up with plastic and needed to be drilled out so the pins could be inserted, the flat blade screw driver is needed to force the pins into place. The final example of really poor quality control is when you put the blade sheath into place on the right side of the case. The word Husqvarna molded into the sheath is upside down and that is the only way the sheath fits properly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from As Advertised Case seems to be as advertised - not built like a tank, but much easier to carry than a tank. I agree with some other reviewers, poor quality control or finishing in manufacture as many of the "hinge" holes were not open or even large enough - nothing a quick ream with a drill bit couldn't take care of. Otherwise very quick to assemble, holds everything I need. I don't plan to drop this off the roof of my house, so should hold up to any reasonable wear and tear. Got this free with the Husky saw purchase, so my perception of "value" is likely skewed some.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fits the Kobalt 80V chainsaw - with a tweek I got this for my Kobalt 80V 18 inch cordless. At first it did not fit - too narrow - but I got out my heat gun and softened up the plastic. Then it was fine. There is room for the saw along with the charger and other accessories. Getting the plastic pin hinges in was a little hard, but just required a bit of tapping. Overall the construction seems fine and solid enough for intended use. As for price - there is a similar looking box made by Echo (ToughChest) that is $4 less, but I have no details so the difference is not enough to sweat.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from bad instructions After assembly, it appears this case will be fine but set up using the instructions wasn't the best. Use the box to see how it's supposed to be laid out because the main unit "D", isn't like the instructions say it is, you still have to put on both sides...and then both R/L end sides...so you have 4 pieces to equal "D"...not 1. Take your time double checking which side goes where for the completed "D" section because the instructions sure don't tell you and it would be a pain to have to disassemble it. I just used the box and laid out all of section "D" before putting the pins in. I had to use a nail to punch through the plastic pin holes...every1 was closed up...but not too bad. Once it's together, you have to open the front in order to get the saw in or out of the case, so that also means you have to put the case sleeve over the saw chain bar and then slide it into case then close up the front side and then shut the top down. And for some dumb reason, when the case is closed the saw sleeve with logo is upside down =/ There's only one way it can go to close the unit so I know its not installed wrong, I checked. I'm not sure why, but I guess I was hoping it was going to be more similar to a Sthil case. At this point I feel the case is over priced at $40....but you should really keep your saw in a case so if no other options get this one, at least there's room for oil ect inside. I was really disappointed the $300 saw didn't come with a case and this case was the only one offered at lowes...but guess they gotta get all they can from your wallet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the money This product is very poorly made, all the pieces did not come with it. It is flimsy........

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Husqvarna Powerbox Chainsaw Carrying Case I purchased two of these online from Lowes.com and they both arrived quickly and undamaged. Although I had never seen / bought / assembled these before, it only took me about ten minutes to assemble two of these without the instructions. Assembly was easy enough and only required me to use a small hammer just to tap in the flexible nylon hinge pins. Assembling the pieces is 'foolproof' as the sections can only be attached one way and the two hinged sections cannot be confused with one another. Though these cases do have various storage areas, they are no doubt all Husqvarna specific and are of no real use to me. The section made to ‘house’ a quart of bar/chain oil has nothing to secure such (strap or tall sides); thus, a quart of oil will eventually just ‘bounce around’ within the case. Although these cases are large, in all actuality they really do not ‘take up’ any more space than those saw-shaped ones. In fact, they could actually utilize less space, because these are ‘stackable’ and those others are not. I actually bought these cases to safely ‘house’ my Worx (14" and 18") electric chainsaws. Though they will no doubt 'swim' within them, it is at least nice to know that they'll be fully protected and that I can also store their respective 12 gauge extension cords inside the boxes along with the saws. BTW, purchase your chain/bar oil from Lowe’s, as it's nearly the same price here for a gallon as compared to what others charge for a mere quart...cheers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from needed a carry box Just acquired a 460 Rancher with a 24" bar. Saw is narrow and kept tipping over. Bought the case because of that. Considered modifying a cooler. Was easy to put together once I realized the instructions didn't say do the hinges first. Placed unit on floor with the outside facing up, inside on floor. Ends popped right on. Latches fit tight. Couldn't use scabbard since it is too short. But had a 24" scabbard so used it. Not perfect but provided protection. Added small chain to restrict lid opening since allowing it to open fully will eventually break off the hinges. Saw wiggles around a lot so padded some areas and stuffed chaps around saw to negate that. I am happy. Hinges will break off top if you are not careful! Cannot expect too much from a one size fits most.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bought with trepidation After reading the negative reviews, I purchased this because I knew that I could return it if it lived up the 1 star ratings. I received it today and put it together without any of the problems mentioned in the reviews. I should comment about the upside down blade guard. I can be installed in four different ways, only one of which is correct and the Husqvarna label is correct when it is installed correctly. It has beveled edges to guide the installation. It can be installed with the blade inside the box, but that is two of the wrong ways. This box is sturdy and should last a long time if you don't abuse it. A note to Husqvarna, a Velcro strap to retain the chain / fuel oil. Took me about 5 minutes to put one in. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job. Carries a lot. Nice case to protect the saw. Room for some fuel, tools and bar oil. I have a smaller saw (16"). The blade sheath is overkill for me. Wish they made a shorter one. Lowe's had the best price by far for this case by about $10. Note, it comes in pieces and has to be assembled. Not difficult though.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for the price Not the quality expected from this brand. Bought online sight unseen other than pics. But saw fits and it serves the purpose. Not sure how long it will hold up. Price was right and worth it to protect the saw when transporting. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for what it is I was looking for a case to carry my Poulan 14" chain saw and the clerk recommended this. I'm not a fan of the "Lego" style look of this snap together box but it's sturdy once assembled. Not the same brand obviously but it does fit my small Poulan. The blade guard could accommodate a much longer blade if needed. Plenty of space for oil and maintenance tools for your saw. The ability to break this case down flat is a benefit I personally don't really see a use for. I'd still have to put the saw somewhere.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The good news is that I paid nothing for this case (Lowe's was giving them away for free with the purchase of a Husqvarna chainsaw in mid-June 2016). The bad news is that is worth every penny I paid for it. The instructions must have been written by an unpaid intern -- they are confusing, very poorly illustrated, and missing steps/parts. The "front door," which you need open/close in order to use the case, requires major tugs to open and close. The snaps for that door, as well as the plastic latches, seem like could break easily. The shallow bays for the oil don't keep the bottles in place well. And, the "Hurqvarna" label for the scabbard is printed upside down when installed in the correct location. My wild guess is that Lowe's and/or Husqvarna gave them away for free to liquidate their inventory of these boxes so that they can replace this model with something that has a better design. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nothing special but works well Its a nice chainsaw case. I bought it for my 450 rancher. It holds a gallon of bar oil, my Oregon sharpener, a funnel for the bar oil, and the chainsaw itself just fine. The book and documentation does fit up top but as mentioned by other reviewers on the internet it just slides around and can come out of the straps. The case seems very durable. Serves the purpose of keeping my chainsaw related necessities together and easy to carry. I am happy with it and think the price is at a good point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great case While it is a little hard to assemble (helps to repunch the hinge holes before trying to insert the rod), the fact the case is square more than overcomes this issue in overall quality. The case being square has allowed me to stack it neatly at home and in the back of my SUV and truck. My other case is more of a saw shape (rounded) and it does not stack anywhere except ontop of this case or on a shelf. Overall a great box for the price and I'll get another one if my other case ever breaks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nice box, too bad it doesn't fit my 372 xp Pretty bummed it didn't hold my 372xp seeing as how it explicitly says it does in the ad. There's no way for the box too close around it. It's easily 2 inches wider then the box

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cheap Major concern was that the handle broke before I was able to put the chain saw in it. The the plastic hinges seemed a bit sketchy. Also the clasp didn't seem to latch well
