when measuring the depth do the manufacturers measure just the top or do they include the handles on the front? My counters are only 25 and half deep and I do not want the stove sticking to far out. ....thanks Lisa anthony

Asked by: monelissa1
The dimensions listed include the handle. The depth from the back to the handle is 28 7/8 inches. The depth from the back to the front of the door (excluding handles) is 26 3/8 inches. The depth without the door is the same as any other range and is standard.

Does this sit flush to the back of the wall or is there a pipe that makes it stick out? If so by how much approximately? Thanks

Built-In Induction Range - 7 cu. ft. - Stainless Steel is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 1022.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Way overrated!!! Got this as a replacement from my home warrantee company service contract. The electronic panel needed to replaced after two months. Now I hit the start button and it locked the range top and it wont unlock even though i hold the start button again and it says unlocking but the lock light is still lit and cant use the range to. My old oven had the built in meat probe. This is a wireless unit that works for a month and then stopped working changed the batteries but does not work. Kichenaid is over rated for crappy products. It did heat water fast when it worked. That is about it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You’ll be glad you did My electric range was getting unreliable. The eyes were erratic so things would burn or not cook. This was my second top of the line electric that left me frustrated. I was seriously considering goin to gas which would have required a tank & plumping a gas line in the house. when I went shopping the salesman mentioned induction & I’m what’s that? Well a new set of cookware & this stove have completely changed our cooking in a positive way. Instant control of heat on eyes, timers for each eye. Dual ovens. I couldn’t be happier. Only thing is the oven is a little slower to reach temp than my electric. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Happy with my purchase I love my new range! I have tried every piece of it! My only two negatives are as follows: The range gets hot when the oven is on. I don't know what I didn't expect that-- it doesn't seem other ranges get as hot. Also, the timer is not intuitive. I keep turning off the oven when I want to add a couple minutes to the timer. Now for the pluses-- the cooktop is marvelous -- the burners have an even heat and a good flame and are easy to. I troll. The oven is HUGE, the heat even and the convection quiet and effective. I replaced an KitchenAid wall oven with a fan that could have powered an airplane--the new fan is whisper quiet. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kitchen Jewelry This is one beautiful looking range. It 's distinctive, elegant simplicity is eye catching. I keep a microfiber cloth handy to keep the shine on the beautifully designed front panel. I've had it in service for a week so I haven't put it through the paces yet. So far baked a dish in the electric oven and the results were excellent. Getting used to the gas burners as they have more power than my old gas range. For the money in the dual fuel category this range is an excellent choice. If you want a modern and elegant look that is not over powering this will fit the bill. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than a Wolf or Viking Having spent 4x the money on the overrated Wolf and Viking brands. These ovens never functioned properly with defects that required warranty replacement and replacing various item over lifetime. We decided this time to purchase the kitchen aid dual fuel at a fraction of the cost and found the performance equal and better than those brands. For example one issue with the Wolf was the uneven oven heating (even with convection) which ruined baking. This model works really well. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sleek, modern, great features When I decided to splurge on a new range, my wish list included: slide-in for a built in look, convection oven, stovetop with bridge element, warming setting on stovetop, baking or warming drawer or 2 ovens. I got all that and more - one rack that is fully extendable making it easy to check on, turn, and remove pans of vegetables, meat, cookies, turkey; proofing and steam baking for bread; convection roasting in addition to convection baking; superfast induction response on cooktop, a baking drawer that is essentially a second oven without sacrificing capacity of the main oven; and a complementary set of cookware for induction cooking. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sleek, full of features - an affordable upgrade After agonizing over appliances for our new kitchen; I couldn't be happier with our range. A gas cooktop and convection oven is the perfect combo without spending a fortune. Plus the oven capacity is one of the largest around for a single oven. We love the look and get tons of compliments on it. 2 additional bonuses - baking/warming drawer and top control dials! We're looking forward to the holidays with it but so far it's been a dream. A huge step up from our traditional freestanding range - and looks soooo much better. I only decreased the star rating from 5 to 4 because I think the owners guide could be better.... It's very easy to use but not 100% intuitive. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks great..Mediocre performance My wife and I purchased this stove for our new home. Looks great, but it takes forever to boil water! Don't be in a hurry to preheat the oven either. Clean up is impossible without moving the irons. I don't want to be negative because it looks great, but our left rear burner does not work and are awaiting service. The microwave and dishwasher are excellent. We have just had issues with our refrigerator and stove. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not sure yet I just bought this and I am a little confused about the noise the induction top makes when on low or on simmer mode. There is some clicks that can be heard and they are loud. I know induction makes noise, but this is not a continuous sounds, it's more like a clicking sounds. Although, the heat seems to be delivered.... I am waiting on my new kitchenaid pots and pan to see if my pans are the problem. (My pans are rated good for induction and are good quality). I'd expect more from a 4k range. If noise continues, might return it. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Gas cooktop is fine. We did a complete kitchen remodel and this range was recommended by our designer. I had never heard of a duel fuel range. I previously had a gas cooktop and a built-in wall electric unit. This sounded like a good option. The oven has not been baking in a consistent manner. After using it for a month, we decided to call Kitchen Aid for service. The technician came on 2-7-20 from Flamingo Factory. As it turns out, the oven was 15 degrees lower than what it was showing. He calibrated it and showed me how to do it for the future. It performed well last night as I was cooking cheesestraws. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quick heat We have been absolutelly amazed at the speed at witch a pan will heat up or water will boil. We initially wanted gaz, but since gaz was not available on our street we would have had to have a propane reservoir installed (leased) in addition to the installation, replenishement, lease cost, etc it became to expensive. The industion does the same, if not faster as well as the various heat control to get down to simmer. The only negative so far is we find the oven to heat-up slower that what we were accostomed to. Noting major but needs to be taken in consideration when pre-heating for baking. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Aqualift DOES NOT work! Purchased this 6/2019, installed in July 2019 and not used until Thanksgiving. Attempted cleaning with Aqua lift before Christmas. Spent an entire day scrubbing and scraping, 4 cycles through Aqualift and it is still extremely dirty. Aqualift did not remove or loosen anything and is a step back in time to cleaning ovens without oven cleaning chemicals. Nothing "self-cleaning" or automatic about it. I believe that the technology that is supposed to make grease release is not real or missing. The grease on the back near the blower does not budge. Totally disappointed and waste of money. No help from Kitchenaid on the problem either. Cannot recommend. Kitchenaid: Bet you don't post this either.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Slightly disappointed with quality Bought in Nov 2016. All the burner decals are almost rubbed off! Like the stove overall but for an upmarket product this should not happen!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Glass coating scratches unbelievably! I've had this range for 5 months. I barely cook on apart from some weekend breakfasts for now. I bought this range because I liked the look of it and thinking the price would reflect the quality. About a month ago I was making pancakes with the same pan I used since we bought this range and when I went to clean it with wet paper towel I noticed 3 different looking scratches on the burner I used. I freaked out because I'm being really careful and cleaning only with water and some materials. I checked the bottom of the pan, there was nothing on it, it's a nice smooth stainless steel finish. I let it go... Yesterday I was heating up a sauce...didn't even move the pan and there we wide scratches on the surface! I'm speechless...and terrified to use my range! Do I have a defective cook too or something?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not worth it I bought all new Kitchenaid Pro appliances 5 months ago. They are all poorly made. This range oven takes 30 minutes to preheat just to 350. Cooking has, after 25 years of loving to cook, become a drag. I can't whip up anything quickly because of the preheating. The stove top is ok, and I like the extra large eye with triple heating, but the oven makes the whole appliance worthless. I can't wait to junk these appliances and get something altogether different. Please, don't waste your money. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Enjoying the range I purchased the range in February however did not receive or install it until my new kitchen was ready in July of 2018. I am still learning how to use it- it has so many more features than the 30 year old range that was in the house when I moved in. It has been easy to use but I had to have it repaired because the upper front section with the burner controls was dented. Unfortunately I need to have it repaired again- the repair person left several scratch marks on it and one of the burner controls does not work properly- the back piece drops down and I am unable to adjust the burner. Rated 4 out of 5 by from love induction but... We recently moved and purchased this range. Love induction. This morning I noticed a scratch on the cook top :( Maybe it was there when it was delivered, not sure. There are only 2 of us that are meticulous in our handling of pots and pans on this stove. (Most expensive appliance EVER purchased.). I was very upset to notice this scratch and am not sure what to do about it. If it scratches this easily, will it break easily? I'm sure nothing like this is covered under warranty but honestly haven't checked yet. Disappointed is an understatement. I would only recommend this product with the caveat that you best be very careful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Far SO "GREAT" I am so excited over this amazing range. We upgraded our kitchen to all KitchenAid appliances and couldn't be happier... Hopefully, we keep being this happy... I received them all the day before Thanksgiving and on Thanksgiving I was using every part of the range that I could... Turkey in the oven, Rolls baking in the warmer drawer below and potatoes and prep work on the stove top!!! No bright colors, no wifi, just amazing job well done just like I needed!!! Now on to Christmas baking... I LOVE our new additions... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Watch Out! We are now on our 3rd range. First one, damaged upon arrival and the baking drawer would not close. There was a 2" gap and the heat just escaped from it. We had to wait 4 WEEKS for a replacement. 2nd one had a severe GAS LEAK from the back of the oven. Our gas company had to make an emergency house call and found that the regulator in the back had been set wrong at the factory and was leaking gas. Installers came out and said range was faulty and needed to be replaced. Our gas was turned off and we are now told it will be another 2 WEEKS to get a replacement!!! Ridiculous Kitchenaid. I purchased this oven 6 weeks ago and have not been able to use it.. POOR. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST RANGE EVER I am absolutely thrilled with my new range. I love the induction elements. The glide control for what you want ie fast boil fry simmer is spot on. The fact that the elements don’t get hot makes clean up a snap. The range has a lock setting so you can lock off the stove top or ovens so they can’t be turned on by accident. The clean no knobs is slick. My husband (who never cooked before) is starting to cook now. I think just so he can play with it lol. I highly recommend the KitchenAid induction range. I was and still am very impressed with the little videos and information that KitchenAid sends you once you register your product. Very helpful hints and techniques. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Range I love the speed of the induction as well as the easy cleanup. The controls work well for me. Very easy cleaning because there are no buttons to work around. My husband would prefer buttons instead of the touch sensitive controls because they don’t respond as well to his touch. I like the touch sensitive controls just fine. I very much like the oven drawer. It’s easier for using because I can just bend to use instead of getting on my knees to use like the double oven. I have not yet used the slow cooker feature so I can’t comment on that. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My first induction range and is incredible! After a month of usage I can say that I'm really happy with the product. Love the induction (is a bit noisy and weird at first but you'll get use to it and the amazing results!) and the easy convection oven! I didn't had a chance to try the lower warmer but I'm very excited to have this feature! The extensible rack in the oven is very useful. With the side trim to cover the uneven cut in the granite is a great fit, and the surface is incredibly easy to clean as nothing really sticks to "burners". The stainless steel and the cylindrical handle gives a very professional look to the product! Great design! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Controller Board and Digital Panel Replaced Twice Good thing I have the extended warranty because the door came off the hinges about year 2. Then Monday before Thanksgiving 2016 the controller boards went out. Monday before Thanksgiving 2017 the Controller Boards and the Digital display went out. Christmas 2017 the display converted to European Mode (well I think) because only 1 - 9 would display but the oven would heat. In Europe some ovens have settings 1 -9. Kitchenaid had no idea what was wrong. Another service call today waiting to see what the display issue really is... Holidays ruined. Our whole house is Kitchenaid. Both Microwaves replaced circuit boards twice first year. Dishwasher arrived defective and later circuit panel replaced once. Oven repairs often as described above. Refrigeration products have worked - even the ice maker which needed some parts replaced year 7, but I think that is normal, at least it didn't leak.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product My fiancé and I bought this as our first range when moving into our new first home. We had a hard time choosing between a gas or induction range but I am very glad that we went with the induction. The stovetop is so fast it will have your water boiling immediately. I also like that when you need to turn the temperature down if something is possibly going to boil over, it brings it down so quickly and all potential spills are immediately avoided. It's also very easy to keep clean with a simple wipe down with the kitchen cloth. So far very pleased with our induction range. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best stove I have ever used I bought this on a wyme. I needed a stove right away and wanted something good and dependable...after reading the reviews and watching videos I decided to purchase it on sale and after using it for a month i definitely would have paid full price. This is the most amazing stove i have ever used hands down. The induction is amazing. Heats water or oil instantly. The oven is even better. Cant even hear the convection fan working. I had to look inside and make sure the fan was actually spinning. I definitely recommend this stove and any other product from kitchen aid. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Replacement I previously owned an all gas KitchenAid range that I had to replace a few weeks ago. I wasn't happy with the gas oven, so I purchased the dual fuel range. I'm so happy I made the change. Having 5 burners versus 4 is a great feature. The top of the range with stainless is much easier to keep clean--easy wipe up. I found the convection oven a gem. I'm a little disappointed with having to purchase a broiler pan--back in the day they came with a new range and I also had to purchase the KA strip kit to fill in the cutout gaps from the previous stove. Other than those two issues I'm very happy with my purchase. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Flawed!!! We have owned this range 2-1/2 years. It's slick with a lot of features. But from the outset it worked poorly. Any water -- even a single drip of condensation from an opened pan lid -- that accumulates on the stove top will cause an alarm to sound and shut down ALL burners. Maddening! Unless disabled, a "safety" ??? feature prevents you setting anything on the range top, whether powered on or not. Another alarm! But here's the real problem with this product: The touch-screen controls failed within six months. Other reviews and conversations with the dealer informed us that the electronics were fried. Worse, when you got the oven to go on, the front edge of the unit became VERY hot. Over time, more features failed until we could only use the bottom unit of the stove. Of course, replacement parts are costly (on top of service charges). This is not a range built for the long haul.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Induction sécuritaire...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great build quality with the right amount of featu Great oven, quiet oven operation, Bakes at even heat and runs slightly hotter. Only complaint is the humming and clicking when the induction top is on a low setting which seems to miss a certain heat range for simmering, either to hot or too cold. We have JA Henckles pots specific for induction so I doubt it is pot quality. It’s a common complaint but we are getting used to it. The elements otherwise work well. It also beeps a lot, pan removed or something on touchpad etc, some can be turned off like keypad press. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Features I went to buy an electric range (no gas hook up in new house) and it was suggested by the salesperson that because I was used to gas I might be interested in the induction range instead since the cooktop is more manageable and when the heat setting gets turned off it stops cooking immediately, similar to a gas range. I love it! It boils a large pot of water in under 2 minutes. The convection oven is a plus and it cooks my roasts in a shorter amount of time and they seem juicier. I haven't used the lower oven yet but I'm sure it'll come in handy around the holidays. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
