OSB Panels (25)
Use heavy-duty OSB panels to ensure professional building projects at home or at work. Oriented strand boards are made with wood strands and a synthetic resin for bonding, which ensures durability. These panels are hot-pressed into multiple layers, and formed into a rigid board, ideal for a variety of construction applications. Oriented strand boards are available in several thicknesses to fit small and large building needs.
The wood material planks can withstand substantial physical pressure, which makes these building supplies suitable for complex home units, and load bearing situations. With OSB wood composite, homeowners can work on exterior and interior walls, roof sheathing, and sub-flooring jobs. OSB building materials serve as a cost-effective alternative to plywood or deck panels, while providing equal strength and durability qualities. The cost of OSB panels, compared to traditional plywood panels, provides significant savings with greater yields.
OSB building panels are available in a range of thicknesses including 3/4" for added heft. Tongue and groove edges are also available for additional precision when using as underlayment for flooring, or for roof sheathing. OSB material resists deflection, warping, and delamination to withstand heat in warm temperatures, and have great shear strength. There are no gaps or voids inside these panels, which minimizes the chance of material breaking down under excessive conditions.
The high-quality 4’ x 8’ panels are easy to cut to smaller dimensions. There is a 4’ x 9’ panel available as well for odd-sized jobs. All panels go through rigorous quality testing to ensure consistency. Low thermal conductivity is another characteristic of OSB building products, as well as their green factor. OSB panels are manufactured using trees that are sustainably grown, as opposed to old-growth trees. Much of the OSB building materials available are Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certified or ECO branded.
