A well engineered, good-looking appliance!
I have been a Thermador girl for most of my cooking tenure, but have chosen the less expensive 800 series this time. I have to say the ovens preheat quickly (there is a visual bar that tells you how close you are getting to reaching the desired temperature), the ovens bake evenly, the convection feature is fantastic (three baking sheets of cookies perfectly done), and I am very pleased with the intuitive controls. The racks glide in and out smoothly and easily, and the large lights make it easy to see inside. I love the charcoal-colored, smooth interior that makes wiping messes off very easy. We cannot hear the oven when it is on, it is so very quiet, and cools down in no time. Chicken and roast have come out super juicy and I believe I am cooking more nutritious food as I no longer own a dehydrator, but a very well engineered appliance. Maybe your newly found enthusiasm for baking and roasting will be matched by your family as it was by mine (my 16 year old is perfecting his pizza dough so he can use the pizza setting). Do yourself a favor, and treat yourself to this great appliance, and by extension, disaster free, great family cooking! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Turns on and off without anyone touching the pad
The oven turns on and off constantly , you can hear the light bell sound as it goes on and flashes then off. This has been the case since installed,,. Now when I cook it will turn off all by itself without anyone touching the pad . Oven computer seems to have a glitch. hope they can fix it fast. This was a expensive wall oven

We remodeled a whole kitchen and went ALL Bosch. Worked for the warranty period but the display on the microwave went out. The oven from the start seemed problematic and when I put a nice digital thermometer in the over I could prove it was often cycleing 40 degrees over and under the temperature you set. No wonder the cookies never come out right. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

"Known problem" (per Bosch). Noisy, Blows hot air
We replaced all of our appliances recently, incl an older Kitchenaid double oven w/ this one.
Pros: Looks great. Cooks well.
Cons: Poor quality. Poor customer service. Design has some flaws: Noisy once it heats up. Blows warm air into kitchen.
Details - first the bad, then the ugly:
Bad: For a high-end appliance, the design has annoying shortcomings. When either oven heats up, an exhaust fan turns on, blowing warm air into the kitchen, from under the touchpad (at chest to chin level for most folks). That's annoying, and a minor issue for warmer places where AC is used regularly. The fan is also noisy. If I had known about this, I'd have gone with another brand.
The ugly: Oven had problems immediately. Would randomly beep, flash "convection bake" on the display, then if the oven was on, it would turn itself off. The issue was totally random - the frequency ranged from every few minutes to up to 3 days. Bosch initially told me to reset the breaker for ~10 min. No effect. Their factory service guy came & contacted Bosch, who told him this was a "known problem", and they expected to have a fix in ~2 weeks. 3 weeks later, they had "identified the problem with the touchpad, and expected to have a new replacement part soon." 3 more weeks, the guy installed the new touchpad. No effect - problem still there. Next day, he confirmed with Bosch that they had sent the same old touchpad, and they still didn't have a replacement part available. Another ~3 weeks, still no part. After nearly 3 months, 4 repair visits and 20+ calls to my local dealer, Bosch customer service & the Bosch repair guy, Bosch finally agreed to replace the oven. New oven is in, and has worked ok for 3 weeks so far.
We went with Bosch, since we'd been delighted with their dishwashers (and still are). Sadly, their ovens & microwaves are poor and to be avoided. (BTW - We also replaced a built-in microwave at the same time. It was DOA out of the box and had to be replaced as well. It also has a similar noisy/warm air fan design issue.) If we hadn't had 3 months of hassle with the repairs/replacement, I'd probably still go with 2 stars, due to the design shortcomings.

Professional Pastry Chef Approved
I’m a pastry chef by trade and do quite a bit of baking out of my home during holidays. I’ve had this Bosch set for now 2 years and have put them through the ringer. During the holidays I do marathon baking where the ovens are going two to three days non- stop. I’ve yet to burn anything in my ovens, which was an issue using our previous Kenmore ovens that would always fluctuate in temperature no matter what the setting was.
Only warning I have for bakers is that if you do cookies or cooked custards like creme brûlée to try the ovens at 320 instead of the typical 350 because these ovens are so accurate and don’t lose the heat through a poor seal like most residential ovens do- hence the small bit of extra caution.
I’ve also used the meat probe and that was a pleasant experience - beautiful roasts have been had in our home thanks to that feature. I’m a pastry chef and meat is not my strong suit, lol.
Happy cooking everyone.
