Is the bigfoot systems footing form strong enough for the hole to be backfilled and gently tamped before pouring the concrete? Depth for my application is 4.5 feet.
As per bigfoot web site where there are more details but as a quick answer, yes, you can backfill.
4.0 BACKFILL FOR BELOW GRADE APPLICATIONS - Place backfill a minimum of 2 ft. (0.61 m) to a maximum of 5 ft. (1.52 m) from the bottom of the footing form as shown in Drawing BFS-102. Backfill should be consolidated with a manual plate tamper or a “2 x 4" on end. Do not strike Bigfoot Systems® Footing Forms with tamper. Re-check alignment of pier. Do not over consolidate so as to distort the shell of the footing form. The backfill is intended to hold the footing form in place.

Will these last through tough Canadian winters?
Are these one time use or is there a way to reuse them? I need 4 concrete footings to raise my gazebo.

Sturdy!
I had first bought a 24" Redibase to use with a 12" dia QuikTube form, and as soon as I slid it over my tube, two of the tabs broke off that you're supposed to duct tape to the tube, making it unusable. I then bought one of these, and the difference is like night and day! These are WAY more sturdy than the Redibase, since you slide the tube down onto the rings to make a snug fit, and then secure it with 3 one inch screws thru the tube and base, evenly spaced around the circumference. The only drawback is it's bigger around (29.5 vs 24" dia) and taller (15 vs 8"), but that also makes it able to support a heavier load. Picture below shows Bigfoot on the left of the Redibase with same size tube in both.

These make a solid support and are easy to use.
Easy to use. Easy to fill. They take a known quantity of concrete as opposed to just digging a hole. I used 5 under my back porch that was sinking in Florida sand. These have been in place now for 15 years. Solid, secure.
The only downside to the Bigfoot Forms is finding them at a reasonable price. I have tried to purchase more but they are "Unavailable".
