I have Bemis Easy Clean soft close toilet seat that loost its ability to soft close and developed black goey matter leak on its left hinge. Could it be repaired or exchanged by the manufacturer.
Vicky47, Thank you for taking time to contact Bemis Manufacturing. We regret any inconvenience you have experienced, and we assure you that we are anxious to retain you as a satisfied customer. Unfortunately, we do not carry replacement hinges.
Hinges are not replaceable on molded wood seats. Once screws are removed from a wood seat, the screw hole can be stripped, causing the hole to not hold new screws up to our safety and warranty levels.
Hinges on plastic seats are installed at the factory while the plastic is still warm using special tools. Because of this, bumpers or hinges on plastic seats cannot be replaced.
Bemis Manufacturing does offer a one year manufacturing defect warranty that is handled through the location of purchase. If your seat is less than one year from the date of purchase, you can return the seat to the store for immediate return or exchange. Kindest Regards, Bemis Customer Service

Great shopping experience & great product!

Who would use this feature?
I took this back after one day as it kept popping up as if I was going to remove it for cleaning. Tabs were reefed down and the locks were secure yet kept popping up! Poor design.

It's a good toilet seat.
The attachment method to the bowl is terrific: it doesn't move around under you (like our older one did). Delivery was quick. Colour match is bang-on perfect.
