Quality, but with Mediocre Hinges
As other reviewers have mentioned, this thing is HEAVY. It is in fact made of solid wood from the frame to the door. The shelves are clear glass. Overall, it's a very nice product and one I would recommend to any one else.
The only downside is the door is the door hinges. First, they are very high end and fancy. They self close and are adjustable. But, you'll need to adjust them once you get the cabinet mounted as the door is so heavy, it skews down. The cause is the little bit of wiggle play between the hinge mounts and the frame. I was able to adjust the door back to get it close, but I wasn't able to get it perfect. The door is so heavy, just that fraction of a millimeter of play causes the door to be off on the other side by about a quarter inch. I imagine no one else in my household will notice, but of course I'll notice.
The magnet latch doesn't engage for me because it's not a very strong magnet and the door doesn't close well enough to the frame. I imagine I could get a stronger magnet latch, but it's disappointing that such an expensive cabinet doesn't come with a better latch.
When I opened the box, I messed with the door hinges when I noticed it had a bit of wiggle play in it. I did this while the cabinet was lying flat on the ground. Perhaps if I hadn't messed with it, it would have been fine coming back from the factory. So, my advice is don't mess with the hinges until after you've mounted the cabinet.
