Does it come with the staplers?

Asked by: Karen1234566
Hello, This hammer tacker uses Arrow T50 staples in 5/16", 3/8" and 1/2" leg lengths. Staples are not included with the tool. Hope this helps. -- Your Arrow Fastener Team

Heavy-Duty Staple Hammer is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 1092.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from I love shopping at Lowes, I wish I had a $1000. Gift card because it would make my day I could buy so much!! About the staple gun I just purchased, I'm a roofer and when this item was made in the past it was built better, the quality has changed and I'm not happy with the product, I've used it for two days and already it is jamming up on me and it is very frustrating, I engraved my name on it like a dummy, so now I think I can't return it!!! So I am giving the staple gun a big thumbs down!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Another great arrow product I have 2 hand staplers from arrow, haven't gone wrong with those. Needed a hammer tacker to make some if my work easier, I haul wood products on a flatbed. I could have bought the cheap no name products, but their reviews complained about jams. I've had very few jams with my other arrow products, so I figured for the price I couldn't go wrong. Haven't used this much yet but no jams so far. Easy load, good staple capacity. Little heavy but not bad(and no heavier than its competitors). I like this slightly shorter handle size, better for what I'm doing [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always the best! This tool is always ready to go and able to do the tough work. This tool is tough to the point I had dropped my first one off a roof up three stories and the only issue it had was a couple dings in the outer body. That had to work for a few years after dropping it and made it easier for the big rig to destroy it after my son dropped in the parking lot where we were working and didn't realize what happened. When turned around the 18 wheeler hit it with the tires on side and finished it. Wasn't planning on replacing it but immediately went out and got another one. This is just as good as the old one! I have always been happy with my hammer tack. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works I brought the tacker home only to realize it was missing the spring clip that holds the staples in. Someone must have opened the packaging up enough at the store and swiped it, or it just fell out. Either way you can imagine I was disappointed. However since I had the dang thing home I thought I'd try to load some staples in it and give it a few whacks. Good news is it works without the spring clip. I just can't staple anything above my head or the staples will fall out. I guess I'll have to return it for another.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HT-50 I am a general contractor with moor e than 30 years experience. My background is carpentry and we have used the HT-50 for insulation, PVC flashing and installing house wrap when we frame houses, additions or garages. Easy to use, load and use again..great balanced tool which is important when using it all day long. Arrow products certainly is quality product and the cost is very reasonable for a professional product. I can't afford to but lesser quality tools as I make my living with high quality products...such as Arrow HT-50 [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by from product is good when it works I mostly use the hammer tacker for insulation and housewrap. this product works good for the first 9 months and then starts to jam frequently and after a while longer 2-3 staples fall out of it and jams all the time. I only use genuine arrow t- 50 staples(5/16) with the hammer tacker. It would be a great tool if they would last longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used this to put up about 50 Posted signs to trees, worked great, no jams or double feeds (with 1/2" staples). Much easier to use the hammer style then the normal gun style, saves you from hand fatigue. Only downside I would see is not being as useful in tight spaces or if you are trying to get exact placement of the staple.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good stapler bad spring After a couple hours of putting house wrap on plywood sheathing the spring on the tension mechanism comes unwound. Truly disappointing tried to swap it out and the new one did the same thing. Hope Arrow can step their game up; had to go back to the Duofast after trying 3 Arrow brand staplers. Can not put up with all the tool downtime.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Parts Purchased two staplers, excellent use. Only problem was I am not able to purchase parts.. when I lost the spring retainer for the stapler I was told, they could not get spring D2143a, only 4.50, but I needed to purchase new...one..?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Jammed everytime i tried to use it i bought a brand new ht50 to install insulation,i also bought correct size arrow staples, i installed the staples correctly into stapler & attempted to staples insulation, one staple came out and then stapler jammed, in the head, i used needlenose pliers & removed staple, was able to staple 3-4 times and jammed again, after spending almost 30 minutes trying to unjam stapler, i reverted to my old hand squeeze stapler to complete job

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Faulty push rod I recetly purchased this product about three months ago for work, ive used it mainly for packaging everyday that was until it broke on me. The push rod was what gave out that thin little metal that held in the rod was way to thin it easily bent and snapped off, this would be they only upgrade I would recomend. To my knowledge I was told this tool would last me years not months I was also very disapointed to find that almost no store had the part i need for this product, finding this push rod for my hammer tacker has been a stress never though such a small peace could become a big problem, my last resort was to check arrow.com but even the main source didnt have the piece I need. Thanks, Yours truly , A disapointed customer

Rated 1 out of 5 by from jams constantly, very difficult to unjam i really can't believe what a terrible tool this is. it jams constantly!! i also had trouble taking it apart to unjam it. you need a screw driver and a wrench which was a pain since i was in a low pitch attic. i really couldn't believe how often it happened. i then bought another one, and it jammed just as frequently. i'm going to try to return both of them and tell lowes how terrible they are. this is also not a cheap product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very useful but ... had a few issues We were laying underlayment down for hardwood flooring. purchased this to make life easier for stapling. It worked very well and really made installing the underlayment easy. Very useful but....had a few issues. it kept jamming and I was wasting a lot of time removing the staples out of the opening. not sure if it could of been because we were tapping it down too hard but it was not jamming all the time. only now and then. Good tool but cannot give it a GREAT review, so I'll give it an average review. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product works! This stapler held up under the most trying conditions when building my house. It worked in snow, rain, sleet and icy conditions especially in building a temporary shelter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This tool is a must have!! This tool is perfect in design, ease of use, and craftsmanship. Used to insulate my father-in-laws 60x30ft garage and I never had any issues with it besides my father and brother in-law taking it to use because the lesser value Arrow hammer tackers they were using would jam up every 10-20 strikes. This hammer tacker was only $8 more than the lesser value Arrow hammer tacker and I never had any issues with it. It never jammed one time and sunk the staples all the way into the wood every single time. I highly recommend purchasing this hammer tacker!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall Great Tool Had one identical to this until it "walked away" at work. I was impressed with my original so when I had to replace it I knew the HT50 was the only option. I like the weight to the stapler, fits well in my hand, and could tell it was built to last. Being made in America was also a big factor in choosing a replacement, so I'm glad to see these still are. I don't use it everyday, but when I do, I know I can depend on a quality stapler that wont jam or be problematic. Thank you! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They're so good they keep getting stolen! So I gotta buy one or two of these every month. Not because they break when we drop them on the concrete floor 4 or 5 times a day or wear out from constant use - some of the guys will go thru a box of staples every 2 days! No, it's because they're so awesome and beefy and they do the job right. Turn your back for a minute and they go and hide in a driver's truck! Bought another brand once and the dock guy cussed me out for getting inferior product. Never buy anything else! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I use them for carpentry and flooring sheets I have used these for a lifetime with construction projects etc. But where I first became aware of them was in the last 30 years during our police shoots for hanging targets... The only complaint I would have is that the stapler follower has to come out to add staples and can be lost or damaged by idiots... Also, it would sure be nice to be able so see when the staples were getting low... I don't have the answer, but in the perfect world, it would be captured somehow... Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy duty stapler that takes the abuse I used this to redo some insulation and it tackled the job easily and sunk every staple without any misfires. It is a very durable stapler and handled my throwing it around. The metal feels thick and this thing has no flex. It is also heavy so the weight helps when slamming it against something, but not so heavy to tire me out. Note that it does take some force to staple, and trying to do more delicate stuff(making a canvas for painting) did not sink the staples all the way because I was not slapping it hard enough. This is not a delicate tool. But over all it is durable, gets those construction jobs done. The weight, the textured grip, and the 2 sticks of staples it holds all help to make this convenient while working. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT Quality Product I am very happy with my purchase of the tack hammer. It worked perfectly for the job I was performing. ( putting on house wrap) I would recommend Arrow products for everyone s stalling needs. I have a code to include with my review - 1117. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much better than older product. I bought one of these in the early '80s for a new home in the high desert of Los Angeles County and it's been a reliable tool in my arsenal of tools that have served me well over the years. I picked this up for my son who was helping on a project and when he was finished I picked it up as mine is kind of a pain to re-load. What a dream! The newer tackhammer requires less of a hard impact, does not jam and refilling is a breeze! I'm not replacing the old one but I'm happy to have the newer one in addition :)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hammer Tacker I bought this Hammer Tacker to hang wall insulation. I thought it would make the job easier, but it did not. I was hanging 6" insulation in 6" walls and that is usually a harder job than the 4" jobs. The studs were also old wood that has harden over the years. So, there was too many issues to blame the hammer tacker. I have another job coming with new construction that I hope I will see better results. I will update this review after I work the new job. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use, strong design, strong enough for construction Great product compared to the rest. I’m a carpenter for twenty five years been using this brand the whole time. You pay for what you get good quality easy use and fast stapler for construction use. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use, easy to load. I went looking for staple for my 30-+ year old Bostich Staple Hammer and couldn't find any staples being made to fit it. Looked over the selections offered at my Lowe's and chose this "HT50" Staple Hammer and was I surprised with it when I got it home and put it to use. It is so easy to load and it works easier and more efficiently than my old one. I'm very happy to have it because it is better all of the way around from my old one. Thanks. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Performs very well! I wanted a hammer tacker for applying roofing felt to a stroage shed. I looked at the Bostitch and some of the reviews. I decided to go with the Arrow due to the apparent jamming issues with the Bostitch. The Arrow worked flawlessly. It never jammed during the felt install. I only did a 10 x 14 shed but it worked perfectly. I have never used the Bostitch brand so I am not being negative torwards it, just saying that the Arrow is reliable. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Arrow Hammer Tacker Always wanted to use one of these in my work. Finally, got an opportunity to put it to use. Great for tacking down felt for sure, but also used in other applications which need a fast and secure hold.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun - but only up to 1/2 inch staples This is a quality stapler. I wish it went to deeper staples so I could use it on 1" foam. I need an product to attach 1" foam, and 2" foam, that is easy and inexpensive, and this isn't it. But I love tack staplers - very fun to use. I've used it to attach tar paper on roofing, and was disappointed when the job was done - it's just so much fun!!! All Arrow products seem higher quality than competitive products, in general. Be sure to read reviews before buying a hammer tacker - some that I have purchased from competitors will easily jam, and some are very difficult to un-jam. In general a hammer tacker is the most fun, easiest to use, and hurts your arm and hand the least of all products - electric or manual, for stapling. I highly recommend a hammer tacker for all staple jobs - if you have enough room to swing it. Not suggested when working in tight spaces. Some people just don't know how to swing a hammer with any power, and can't use a tool like this. Some people don't have good eye-hand coordination and can't use a tool like this. If they can't hit a nail then they can't use a hammer tacker well.
