This item is a very good valueThis plug has 8 positions to set it so you can customize its direction to work better with other plugs you may use on existing cords. This plug has 3 screws to hold your wiring securely instead of some barbed holders that are asking for a fire or failure. This plug is a great deal for price even though it has to be ordered on line only. I am going to order a few just so when i need one, I will have some on hand to fix lamp, extension or any other cords i am working on. Also the cord hold down is made to fit small cords sizes and hold them securely to large heavy 3 wire extension cords 14-2 w/g wire. After buying the cheap plugs and this unit. I wont go back to the cheaper junk plugs because I trust this better plug far more for safety and reliability down the road. It cost more, but its cheap in the long run in peace of mind not to have worries of items having problems again.

There are times when you need a plugNow it made three in a million. I ordered it online rather than looking for it in hay stacks on the self because of free delivery. I ordered two. I received notification that the delivery will be delayed but then I got in later in overnight air from manufacturer. That's customer service.
LIke any other plugs with terminals, the device is not thin. But the side cord entry with one of eight possible directions makes all the difference. The terminals are fixed and screwed just like any other plugs of the kind, not the rotatory kind that are not sold anymore in hardware stores. The design of the terminals also made it clear that you only need to strip a bit of the wire, insert, and screw. The typical 90 deg bend occurs inside the plug when the wires are separated, allowing the cord to come out at different fixed directions with ease.
Time and time again I decided to buy the whole extension cord or outlets, and custom to whatever I need instead of buying plugs with terminals, because the price is about the same. Now I need more outlets under the kitchen cabinets. The straight plugs that I have are awkward with the thick cord sticking out into the air above the worktop. I brought an outlet with slim plug. It's good behind furnitures but it assumes that I want the slim cord goes downwards to the ground or something. But I want the cord to go up towards the bottom of the cabinets. Next I figured out that I need a rotary slim plug. I decided against it when I read the reviews.
This plug is exactly what I needed. The thickness is irrelevant as the socket is exposed for normal use, not hidden behind furniture.

Not badThis isn't bad, but it's bulkier than I'd like. I guess that's the tradeoff for having the adjustable angle. Also, its a pretty soft plastic that doesn't inspire too much confidence. The wires do get screwed down nice and tight, so that is nice. And overall installation is pretty easy if you know what you're going. Its drop shipped from the manufacturer, and took almost 2 weeks to arrive, so good luck if you need it quickly.
