7.5-A Reciprocating Saw 1 1/8" - Variable Speed - 0-3200 SPM is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 97.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Surprised at the Power of this thing This is a great tool. I was surprised how cheap it was, yet very powerful and effective. This tool does what it was designed to do and does it well. No complaints so far. I’ve used other ac reciprocating saws and battery operated versions and this is the most powerful one I’ve used so far. I’ve read through some of the other comments and just have to say that if you don’t know how to use this tool please read the manual that came with it and be safe. There is no shame in it - if you don’t know just read. It does have a lot of power and it is fast to cut so make sure you are safe. Definitely will recommend to a friend. 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from gets the job done My ryobi quit after 2 years the blade attachment part rusted shut. I replaced with this porter cable. Cutting 4 in and 2 in cast iron pipe. Abs pipe and wood or nails. Basically I replaced a 1930s sewer system using this ex posing it to metal, water mud. I used this to make and rough in a window. Just get the right blades for the the task/material you are cutting. It takes all blade brands, they all fit dewault, Milwaukee etc. have abused this tool since its so cheap and it keeps going. Only tip is keep your blades oiled and your attachment parts oiled so rust doesn't seize your tool up. I had to give it 5 stars because it has gotten all my projects done thus far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Saw So far this has saved me well. Used it this week to help me with a shower and deck at our trailer. Easy to use and had enough power for my uses. Even cut so tree roots with it. Made it an easier time for sure. Blade changing was very easy with just a thumb and fingers. Lightweight and just plain enjoyable to use. I thought about cordless but am over charging batteries or forgetting to charge them. Most of the time I am around an outlet or have an extension cord. This is my fourth Porter Cable product and have been very satisfied with all of them. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great price, excellent product I have never owned a similar saw, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but it seems like a very well-built and high-quality tool. I was digging a trench for a French drain and kept hitting large roots. I tried to saw them by hand but it was slow going, so I ran over to my local Lowes and found this. It cut through roots up to about 4 inches in diameter in seconds. It feels very solid and I expect it will last me many years. The variable speed is controlled by pressure on the trigger. The twist-lock allows for fast and easy blade replacements. At the price, I feel this is an outstanding value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great DIY Around-the-House Recip Saw For the price, this is the perfect light-use reciprocating saw for using around the house. I've used a Milwaukee 12-amp Sawzall before, and there is no comparison which is better. Of course, the Milwaukee runs about 4-5x more than this Porter Cable! If you are using this bad boy 5 days a week, definitely invest in something with at least 11 amps. But for sporadic jobs around the house, it works great. I put in my own sprinkler system recently, and this saw was great for cutting through numerous thick roots....probably 20 or 30 over the course of the yard. With the Lowes coupon I had in the mail, this was a no-brainer. It already paid for itself with this first job...and I suspect it will do just fine for years to come.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good, Light Design BUT doesn't hold blade I don't usually return tools/products, but this tool failed me a couple of times. I used the blade that came with the tool to but down a couple of studs for a window I was building in an existing wall, but the blade kept ejecting from the tool and I had to summon the power of Thor to pry the stuck blade out of a halfway cut stud. I ran and bought a Dewalt 6" blade hoping that would resolve the issue, but it didn't, and it kept failing on me. I've had better luck with a Chicago Electric tool from HF since. Sorry Porter Cable, but this is a sub-par tool, and is not a reflection of your suite offering.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tool I was looking for a Reciprocating saw for a boat tear down after looking at various reviews i went to my local Lowes and picked this one up have used it and its great no issues it gets hot but it keeps on cutting with no problems. I have been using it for 7 hours with no issues, yesterday I used it for 2 as I was trying to get use to it. One thing on these is to give it a chance to cool down in between cuts and change the blade when you see its not cutting that great I went though 3 blades cutting though wood metal and fiberglass.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this Variable Speed Reciprocating Saw I love this PORTER-CABLE Variable Speed Corded Reciprocating Saw I purchased this saw to prune 1” and larger branches on my shrubs and trees. It does a great job. I love the smooth, powerful, orbital cutting action of this saw. Its great handle and palm grip allows me to maintain safe control of the saw while cutting, even in tight, hard-to-reach positions. The twist-lock, tool-free blade change mechanism makes blade changes quick and easy. You will love this quality, well-engineered saw.
