Saw-Max(TM) Tool Kit - 6 A is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 47.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A dream come true! It's te best plexiglass cutter I've EVER used. No chips or jagged edges. It cuts smoothly and very, very straight. It's easy and I'm a 5'2" 110 lb. lady and like all Dremel tools I've used, it was made for me. I'm a picture framer and from time to time need to cut plexi as our local hardware store (I live in a small town) doesn't want to deal with it for the reasons I've mentioned. I've purchased 3 expensive items and this, the least costly, did the job. I didn't see anything in your ad about plexi, only plastic. And so I thought I've got nothing to lose. Thanks, Dremel, you've made me very happy and extremely independent in this area.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dremel SawMax SM20-02 Purchased the Dremel SawMax SM20-02 back in February 2013, I'm rebuilding my first floor of my home which was devastated by Sandy last fall. It comes with an assortment of blades, but I primarily used the two blades that were designed to cut lumber. You can adjust the depth of your cut up to 3/4 of inch. It easily cut through my 4' by 8' 3/4 sheets of floor lumber. It also used it to do all my sheetrock cutting. Two negatives, the SawMax gets very hot, wear work gloves. Also the wood blades wear quickly and there $20 a pop to replace at Lowes. I like the maneuverability of the SawMax and its a strong durable machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great little tool I was installing a vinyl fence and needed something quick to cut I saw this saw at Loews so I bought it I have a couple of there rotor y tools and also the saw tool for the applications I have used these for you can't beat them you can't build a house with them but just about anything else. when doing my fence I had to cut some one inch plate stone slowly but no problem it cut fine. Do think the blades are kind of pricey. Could not find the(miter and edge guides) at lowes mine came with the 2 x 4 guide I saw one at the other store that it came with the kit almost bought it just to get the miter guide. Iam looking at the trio now. read two bad reviews don't believe either one

Rated 3 out of 5 by from So So... When cutting thin sheets of plywood it likes to over heat (Wasn't rushing the saw nor was I blocking vents). It likes to also get caught up on a simple 2x4 guide which was getting annoying. I then tried it on some 1/2 inch thick drywall and it, again, started to over heat. If you have no issues with grabbing something so thick (Don't twist my words.... ) then you can use it but I found it rather annoying trying to keep a good hold on it at times when cutting vertical and horizontal. I do like this SawMax but if it's going to overheat and cook my hand then I'll stick to using a circular saw or grinder which wont overheat so quickly. And don't get me started on the 2x4 accessory that came with it... Argh....

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great tool I installed an Armstrong laminate floor in my living room (first time installing flooring). I wanted a small circular saw that was easy to use, powerful enough to cut laminate, but lightweight enough so I wouldn't get tired of holding it. I also wanted to be able to see where I was cutting. I first tried the Rockwell versacut saw which was great, but I wasn't able to see my marks on the laminate for cutting out a floor grate opening and notches for under and around door jambs. The Dremel SawMax has an exposed side that allowed me to see where my marks were and when to stop. I will be using it next to cut baseboard and trim for my living room to complete my project. Only cons are individual blades are expensive and you cannot buy the accessories (miter and edge guides) in store at Lowes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best saw you can ever wish for. This little saw is the best thing sinced sliced bread. It is very light weight, very powerful and convienent. I had put off fixing several leaks in my roof for years. Instead of having to lug the big skillsaw up and down the ladder and using it in uncomfortable positions having to use both hands to make cuts, I was able to get fast acurate cuts using the Saw Max and only using one hand while helping to secure myself on the steap roof, also able to cut shingles and other stuff needed for the repair without carring up a lot of other tools. Can't wait to use it on other projects, I think this saw will save you plenty of money in the long run, by encouraging you to build and repair yourself rather than contracting or buying. Great Saw!!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handy little tool! This is not the "be all, end all" tool by any stretch, but it sure beats dragging out the circular saw or running up and down the stairs to my basement to get to my table saw every time I need to make a cut. It's lightweight and easy to grab in a hurry when I want to make a quick cut. I say, if you've got a project that requires quick cuts, it beats hauling the bigger tools around. I'm not sure, but I think that's the real purpose of this tool. Purpose served!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great tool but replacement blades will break you First off, this is a great little tool, I've used it to cut 3/4 subfloor under cabinets with the flush cut blade. undercut door jambs, cut trim molding, PVC, and so on. It is very easy to use, comfortable, and it has plenty of power to get the job done. The depth gauge is accurate, makes nice plunge cuts, and the design allows one hand operation while maintaining control of the tool. And I grab this tool whenever I have a job that requires cutting. I really like this tool. But the blades do not last like the ones on larger circ. saws and look out!! they are going to set you back 20 bucks for the "multi-purpose" blade and 25 bucks for the flush cut blade. I have hopes that if this tool gets popular, someone will start making after-market blades for it but, I will still use this great tool.
