Tenderly... for Christmas

Cocooning, an intimate supper, an evening at the cinema wrapped in each other’s arms… It’s good to rediscover each other, between the turmoil of shopping trips and the many Christmas parties. The holiday and the atmosphere generated around the Christmas period offer lovers the chance to come together and share a few fond moments. Some will use the occasion to mark their relationship by become fiancées. Others are already planning an intimate Christmas Eve in the warmth and luxury of a soft bed.

To add to the romantic flavour of your Christmas, create a décor filled with dreamy tenderness. Pay special attention to all the rooms of the house, including the bathroom and bedroom.

A wealth of flowers

Natural, dried, artificial… Alone or in small bouquets… All shapes and sizes… Flowers… always flowers… and more flowers!

Celebrate a romantic Christmas in a floral setting! For a dreamy tree, deck it with large flowers, bouquets of dried roses, gypsophilia and, why not, hydrangea branches picked from your garden in the fall. Replace traditional garlands with ribbons. Transparent ball ornaments in which you have inserted small, artificial flowers will add to the novelty. Plant spruce branches in a large, ceramic flowerpot decorated with an evergreen bow. Rose petals strewn here and there under the tree and among the gifts will look sensational.
To embellish the fireplace mantle, the windowsill, the library, etc. there are bags of flowers on the market. These are made up of various bulbs like white narcissus and pink amaryllis, red or white, which flower during the Christmas season. Bonsai and Christmas cacti, as well as the ever-popular poinsettias, also have their place in this décor.
In the dining room, a topiary tree decked out in the same decorations as the spruce will assure continuity. Allow yourself to be seduced by magnificent floral arrangements and table pieces that are sold or, if you have the talent, make them in your own image. Keep a few flowers or small bouquets to decorate your table linen.
