Materials and tools
This canopy bed measures 63" wide by 81 1/2" long by 86" high and is made of affordable materials like MDF and pine. It is simple to assemble and does not require any special knowledge. For maximum impact, dress it up with flowing sheer drapes, elegant bedding and matching cushions, giving a feeling of opulence and comfort.

Materials and tools

  • 5 sheets of MDF 48" x 96" x 5/8"
  • 10 pieces of pine 2" x 3" x 96"
  • 3 1/2" No 8 Screws flathead
  • 2 1/2" No 8 Screws flathead
  • 5/8" No 8 Screws flathead
  • Wood screw covers, with heads, 3/8" in diameter
  • Wood glue
  • Brackets 1" x 1" x 3/4"
  • RONA Dark brown dye, No 194-63
  • 2 24" Velcro® strip
  • Circular Saw
  • Bench saw
  • Drill-screwdriver (electric or cordless)
  • 3/8" Countersink drill bit for No 8 screws, or 3/8" drill bit
