Conditions applicable to online purchases made on RONA.ca
Online purchasing through the RONA inc. Web site is regulated by the sales conditions stipulated below. Please read them carefully because your buying through the RONA inc. website is evidence of your acceptance of those conditions and of any modification that may be made to them from time to time.
Limit of liability
Please note that the information found on www.rona.ca reflects data available to RONA inc. at the time the site was developed. It represents the best information we were able to obtain overall. Despite the care taken by RONA inc. in ensuring accuracy of such information, errors may have occurred.
There are no guarantees, expressed or implied, with respect to the RONA inc. site and/or any of the information it contains. Some actual items may vary slightly from the illustrations shown in the site. For accurate descriptions of products, please refer to the descriptive texts of the product illustrations.
RONA reserves the right to cancel an Internet order at any time and without further notice.
Targeted clientele
The www.rona.ca website offers visitors a complete inspiration, information and online shopping experience. It is mostly destined to individuals, whereas construction and renovation contractors are invited to visit our specialised website destined for contractors.
Methods of payment/billing
Payment by credit card is the only accepted method of settling purchases on www.RONA.ca. VISA and MasterCard credit cards issued by Canadian banks as well as RONAdvantages, RONA VISA card and the RONA Commercial card are accepted. Please note the e-mail confirmation you receive shortly after placing an order on www.RONA.ca will serve as your proof of transaction with RONA inc.
Purchase confirmation and full payment of your order are carried out when you pick up your order at the RONA store you selected when making your online purchase.
Prices
The prices shown on www.RONA.ca are the same as in-store prices in "RONA L'entrepôt", "RONA Le Régional" and "RONA Home & Garden" stores. However, due to market conditions, the price and/or the availability of certain products may vary from those of products offered in-store.
Orders placed on www.RONA.ca will be billed at the price indicated on the product’s information sheet.
Because of unforeseeable market fluctuations, RONA inc. reserves the right to modify prices on products sold through its Internet site at any time, without prior notice. All prices quoted on the RONA Internet site are in Canadian dollars. Certain additional fees may also be added in store.
The prices of products shown on RONA inc.’s website may differ from the prices shown in RONA stores for the same items. The prices of identical items may also differ from one RONA store to another.
Federal and provincial taxes are not included in the prices. The applicable tax rate may vary by province and period. In case of a difference in taxes applied to an online purchase and that in-store, le total amount claimed in store will prevail.
Delivery options
RONA offers two delivery options for products ordered on its Internet site: in-store pick-up and home delivery.
Home delivery is available only for gift cards and is offered in Canada only. Please note: delivery is not available to Yukon, Nunavut, Northwest Territories and northern Quebec.
The payment for your order needs to have been processed and accepted before RONA inc. proceeds with delivery of your order.
In-store pick-up
You can pick up your order, free of charge, at the RONA store of your choice, where this option is available. The products you have ordered will be available at the RONA store you will have selected following the confirmation of your order. The designated store will get in touch with you to notify you that your order is ready. You may be asked to sign an acknowledgement of receipt when picking up your order.
Gift card home delivery
Delivery periods for the gift cards vary depending on destinations. In urban centres, they are delivered within 2 to 5 days following the confirmation of your order. Delivery to remote locations may require up to 7 business days. However, orders placed after 12 p.m. on Fridays will not be processed until the following Monday.
You order is subject to the policies and delivery procedures of Purolator’s shipping service, the shipping company RONA inc. uses to deliver gift cards purchased on its site.
You can track the delivery of your order yourself by visiting Purolator’s website. You will have direct access to the Purolator tracking system. You will need to enter your delivery tracking number in order to conduct a search. You can find this number on the confirmation e-mail you will receive from RONA inc. to confirm your transaction
Home delivery by your RONA store
During the online product purchase process on RONA.ca, you can request home delivery, which is offered by certain stores. However, the service is at the discretion of the store, which makes an arrangement with the customer at the time when the order is being prepared in store. At any time, the store reserves the right to require additional delivery fees or to not offer the service at all.
Availability of products
RONA inc. makes every effort to stock sufficient quantities of products sold through its Internet site. However, RONA inc. cannot guarantee availability of such products and the products may slightly differ from the images presented in the detailed product sheet on the website In addition, RONA inc. accepts no responsibility for damages resulting from stock-outs or delays in delivery.
Should RONA inc. find itself unable to deliver the product or products you ordered on its Internet site, you will be advised by e-mail or by telephone.
For reasons beyond our control, we occasionally need to modify product specifications or to supply a substitute product. If RONA inc. ships you a substitute product, you should know that it will be of equal or superior quality to that of the product you ordered, and that it will be offered to you at the same price as the product you wished to order. If, despite that, the product does not suit you, you need only return it by following the return procedure described in the “Returning merchandise” section. RONA inc. reserves the right to limit quantities. Please note the substitution offer does not apply to sale or clearance items.
Cancelling an order
To cancel an order made through RONA Inc.’s website, you simply need to contact RONA's Customer Service within the first 24 hours following your purchase. You may do so by calling, toll free, at 1-866-283-2239, Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., ET. Please refer to the order number of your purchase as mentioned in the confirmation e-mail you received and RONA Inc. will credit your account with the amount of that purchase as soon as possible.
