Types

For most standard consumer uses, there are three sink styles (configurations) available on the market, single, double and triple basin sinks, with each configuration being offered in a wide choice of sizes. In other words, the sky’s the limit and with a little research and shopping, you should be able to find the model that suits you perfectly.

Single basin sinks

You’ll find single-basin, rectangular sinks ranging mostly from 10 inches wide × 17 ½ inches long, to 33 inches wide × 22 inches long. Shapes for all categories can vary.

Double basin sinks

Double sinks usually come with two basin sizes i.e., one large, deep main basin for washing and soaking and a second smaller, shallower basin for rinsing and which is also a good candidate for a waste disposal unit. Double sinks with integrated drain boards can measure as much as 50 inches wide.

Triple basin sinks

Most triple sinks are at least 40 inches wide, ranging up to 60 inches. Triple sink configurations usually come with a large main basin, a smaller dish or vegetable rinsing basin and a third small basin.
