MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
From its beginnings RONA has derived strength from a shared vision and deeply rooted values to which we all adhere. Service, unity, respect, search for the common good and sense of responsibility are more than words: they represent a collective and individual commitment.
RONA’s values and rules of ethics and conduct count among the reasons why our customers, our investors, our suppliers and all our various business partners place their trust in us. They know that RONA’s business is conducted according to the highest standards of professionalism, honesty and integrity.

Notwithstanding these shared values, the fast pace of change in today’s world and the accelerated growth of our business make it necessary and desirable to draw up a set of written rules to which we can refer. Naturally, these rules may evolve over time and circumstances may lead us to incorporate additional subject matter. Each time we do so, however, will be an opportunity to pause for reflection and consensus-building.
This document is thus a compilation of the standards which each of us personally undertakes to meet. Naturally, it does not cover every situation that we may encounter in the exercise of our duties. If an unforeseen situation arises, we may consult our superiors as to how we should respond or, if the question requires closer analysis, it may be submitted to the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee, which is responsible for the application of RONA’s code of conduct and ethics.
These rules are intended primarily for all RONA employees. Each employee must undertake to comply with them, as the reputation of our organization depends on it. However, we also encourage our partners, affiliates, franchisees, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors to adopt these rules of conduct and ethics and we will moreover bring these rules to their attention.
