Ceiling Fans

July 22nd, 2:00 am, 330C. With the humidity factored in, it’s 380C! All the windows are open, but not a wisp of a breeze. You can cut the hot air with a knife. How to get to sleep? Stop all movement? Take a shower? Drink that last glass of cold lemonade? Maybe a ceiling fan or an air conditioner would be the best bet.

Ceiling fans can be installed in any room to provide good air circulation: bedroom, living room, kitchen, greenhouse, etc. In the bedroom, be sure to choose a quiet model... to avoid the sleepless nights that can be caused by fan noise.

Great in the summer

Fan blades turning clockwise push air downwards. You'll feel a fresh breeze. Ceiling fans can be combined with an air conditioner to efficiently distribute fresh air in a room. Fan blades turning counterclockwise pull up cool air that would normally stay near the floor.

Also in th winter

In a heated room in winter, set the fan blades to turn counterclockwise; air will be pulled upwards, then will be redirected downwards along the walls. This air circulation evens the room temperature, keeping hot air from staying near the ceiling and cold air near the floor.

A good ceiling fan can operate 24 hours a day year-round. Set the speed higher in summer and lower in winter.
